Why has imdb disabled the 'drag-and-reorder' feature in lists? The manual way with the numbers is awful. I create a big list and then it takes ages to re-order with this new system. Also, i find it unacceptable that I don't have the ability to re-order my list through the android app.

Hi Manos,

We're currently unable to support drag-and-drop list reordering on the IMDb desktop site, as well as list editing in the IMDb app for Android.

I've updated this thread to an "Idea", where the feedback can be reviewed by other IMDb staff and users for consideration for future updates.

Her Claire, Manos Mitsis asked why it was disabled. On desktop your team said it was "technical constraints" or whatever, but do you have a reason why it doesn't work in Android? I'm really trying hard to figure out why such an important feature is being abandoned so haphazardly, almost intentionally it seems like at this point. Please let the loyal IMDB community know.

Well, Android has technical constraints too, perhaps more than the iPhone. The IMDb infrastructure developers are trying to get the same algorithms or techniques to work on all platforms, so as to make and keep every version of the site as uniform as possible. As a result, a lot of features have been lost on the desktop version.

To be clear, drag-and-drop has not been disabled on Android. Instead, it has not yet been implemented on Android, sorry.

While we are always adding new data and features to the IMDb apps and mobile site, not everything is supported on all platforms at the present time.
