Why don't you have a support line for members? Submitting my show credits is a nightmare.

IMDB is THE website for information on TV shows and movies and I pay for a membership and I would like to speak to a tech support person. Submitting my show credits is a nightmare. Never in my 20+ years as a graphic designer have I experienced such a clumsy, unclear, difficult to use website. Submitting my show credits is a nightmare. It wants me to submit each episode for each season, which is fine but for most shows IT WON'T LET ME. There are no standards. It's chaos.

Please provide a link to the page(s) you are referring to if possible.

If you have submitted data to IMDb, please provide the 18-digit Contribution ID.

This information will give context on the issue to IMDb staff, which typically leads to expedited resolution.

I have no idea what the 18-digit Contribution ID is.
Where do I find that?

It’s like if you aren’t the person who set up the show’s IMDB page, and you aren’t credited, it won’t recognize that you worked on it. So trying to add shows you've worked on to your own profile is based on information that other people have submitted. Which I guess kinda makes sense. You’d have people saying they worked on things they didn’t work on. So what am I supposed to do, find out WHO made each show’s IMDB page and go ask them to add me?

And I've been at this stage before, trying to add shows I've worked on and I end up contacting Production Managers and they usually have no idea who set the show's IMDB page(s) up.

OK here's the 18 digit ID for the Bio I just submitted. 200520-225740-876000
All the other submissions were immediately rejected so no ID was generated.

Ty Semaka,

On the IMDb GetSatisfaction site, IMDb representatives and long-time contributors can provide some assistance with any submission issues. This is a public site.

IMDb does not have phone support.

If you are unable to find the answer to your questions through the IMDb Help Center, you can file a report in private through the IMDb Contact Us form.

https://help.imdb.com/contact

As noted by BONAFIDE BOSS ⭐️ and  ACT_1, your personal IMDb Update History is a list of the updates you've submitted to IMDb to add, correct, or delete. The 18-digit reference number can also be located in your e-mail correspondence from IMDb.

After you've located the reference number, please wait for a response from an official IMDb representative.

Ty: Just to be clear, it should not make any difference to you, in terms of getting your own credits submitted, who submitted the show or episode to IMDb. In many cases, that person might even be a viewer of the show, not a member of the crew.

If you are dealing with projects where you were not credited on screen, then you may need to furnish proof that you really did work on them.
