No C.C. on any of the copies of "The Last Days Of Patton". They are produced by Westlake Entertainment Group. I need C/C/ because I am deaf.

Hi Richard,
You should rather contact the distributor of that program in your area and on the intend support (catch-upTV, streaming, DVD, etc.), because they decide over such a feature. The producer have very little to say about it, let alone IMDb...

Not sure if this is helpful, and it's not a DVD, but if you go to amazon.com and do a search for THE LAST DAYS OF PATTON, there appears to be a close-captioned version available for streaming (which I'm not really familiar with) through Amazon Prime (you can sign up for a free 30-day trial membership).

Thanks for the reply but I'm only interested in a DVD NOT JUST A VIEWING.

Ed Jones, I will look again right now. So far, I can't get Amazon to tell it's customers whether a DVD has subtitles or not. It's a crap shoot. I think I have ordered 4 of that title from Amazon and none of them had subtitles. I had to return them all.

It seems that this TV film is in public domain or that the DVD releases are unauthorized. This usually means = no subtitles. DVD release on Amazon doesn’t mean much - it could be anything.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and ideas. I will continue to pursue this matter. Perhaps there are no DVD's with C.C. for the film 'Last days Of Patton" The copy I have only lists Westlake Entertainment Group and they have as yet responded. Thanks again.

Alternatively you have one option, which is admittedly convoluted but will probably help with a large selection of titles. - You can 'rip' the dvd content to your PC, download subtitles off of the internet, then re-burn the video with the subtitles included. Plenty of guides are around online how to do this, just google it. - Generally this does not constitute copyright breaches, because you are allowed to create (at least) one personal copy for backup purposes. This law may vary depending on your country of residence, but generally for private home use its fine. - Again, I know it's an annoyance but it's a workaround nevertheless.
