I'm not sure which department 'story producer' belongs in. There are approximately 25,000 in Producers, 139 in Writers, 339 in Other Crew, and 228 in Editorial Department. It would seem the Producers' section wins by a landslide, but then there's https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1646325/, who has around 150 of her Story Producer credits in the writers section. Are these all wrong and should be changed?
I'd love it if we could get a definitive answer from an IMDb employee.
Thanks.

Hi NickBianco -

As per our guidelines, all forms of a producer credit belong under the "Producer" section.

I hope this helps!

Thank you for answering where the story producer credits go, Michelle, but there seems to be a confusion here somewhere.

In answer to a question about 'script producer', employee Rida advised that that would go into the Script and Continuity Department:
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/script-producer-credit-which-department

In the drop down menus under "casting producer" for Casting Department and Producers' sections, it lists about 18000 entries in Casting Department and 270 in the Producers department.

It would seem that not all jobs in the form of, or with the name, 'producer' in them go into the Producers Department. Am I seeing something wrong here.

Thank you.
