Thought I'd post this here until I hear we're doing it somewhere else....

Post the name of the latest movie you've seen and your rating out of 10.

Jean de Florette, 10, a French masterpiece, a universal tale of greed and  manipulation set in Provence, I'm looking forward to watching the sequel.

By the way, I wanted to suggest French Provence for the IMDb tourism poll but I didn't know the list would focus on fictional places.

I haven't seen Jean de Florette in a long time but thought it was a masterpiece, as well. I hope I have a chance to see it again soon.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) - 8/10

The first 5 minutes of the film with Baby Groot dancing to the music of E.L.O.'s Mr Blue Sky while the Guardians are fighting an ugly monster is already worth the price of your ticket.

Never even heard of this film. :(  Definitely going on the Watchlist. Sonia Braga is still gorgeous!

I felt the same way about Death Proof: I thought it's often under-rated, and I thought the second half is far better than the first half.

Rewatched "Australia" and "The Fast And The Furious 3: Tokyo Drift".
"Australia" is still great to watch for the attack on Darwin. The other half is okey.
TFATF:TD fun to watch.

I Am Heath Ledger - 9/10 - Extraordinary! I've never had a big like or dislike for Heath Ledger...he was just there. But this film is AMAZING, especially all the footage he shot himself. Even the poster is amazing, capturing him in gorgeous, full-speed motion. See it!

The Debt (2010) - 8/10

Jessica Chastain and Helen Mirren playing the same character (young/old) in a drama that looks like it was based on a true story but in fact is purely fictional.

I like that film a lot but I feel like Wilkinson and Hinds should have switched roles.

I guess their casting depended on how the actors playing their younger characters looked like. Or do you think they also should have switched roles?

I didn't feel like they looked like the younger versions, that's one reason they should have played the other roles.

Panorama of Ealing from a Moving Tram (1901) - 6/10, apparently this is one of the most liked Phatom Ride films from early cinema. It was a subgenre where views of a city or place were taken from a moving vehicle giving spectators the impression they were traveling ang watching through a window.   You can watch it here if you can spare two minutes.

Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 (2017) - 7/10. The first one was better.

I never saw this one but I thought The Arrival of a Train (1896) was really something (9 or 10/10). Oh, I see you included a link to the 1901 film - Thankyou! I'm going to watch it now.

Hmm, I gave it a 6, as well. I enjoyed the first half better than the second, and thought about giving it just a 5 considering that other films that I've seen from the same era were much stronger, Still, I did find the first half pretty lovely.
