I guess I am doomed to accept a year on a movie that it isn't accurate. :( I have made the changes, waited the allotted period of time, and nothing. No response, no change, nothing. I have done this numerous times.

Sure. The movie is called King Toad and due to an error, it has a 2012 year date on it. I have changed the release date to 2014 several times, via several different channels (re release, etc.) and then waited the recommended 2 to 14 (longer actually a month per change). IMDB has never made the correction and never sent me a message telling me there was a problem with the correction. I  have also tried to delete an actor who was replaced and IMDB has never deleted that actor, either. Other updates on the page have gone through, so I don't think it's just lost in the system, but I don't know.

Joel: I don't understand what the error is with the year of the film. I see that King Toad is listed in the database as a 2012 film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2148756/ The film is listed as having been released 4 May 2012 on the Internet. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2148756/releaseinfo The film is available for viewing on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Lcej94zT4c. YouTube lists the film as "Published on May 4, 2012".

I see that the film is listed as having a "re-release" date on 17 June 2014, although I'm not sure what that means in the context of a film released on the Internet which is viewable now, almost a month before the re-release date. But a re-release would never affect the year placed after a title, anyway. The year after the title is always supposed to be the year of first release, not the year of a later re-release.

Based on the YouTube evidence, the only circumstance I could imagine in which IMDb would change the year after the title of this film would be if someone found evidence that the film had been released somewhere in 2011 or earlier. A change to a year of 2013 or later doesn't appear to be possible.

Regarding the correction to the actor, you can provide evidence by taking a screen capture of the credits (like the one below) and uploading it to a free file-sharing site such as PostImage.org or Tinypic.com. Then submit the correction, and check the box to provide an explanation. In the explanation, provide a link to the screen capture so that the IMDb staff can see who played the role at issue.

I hope this helps.
