Updates to IMDb Title FAQ

Hi All,

Today (02nd Nov 2018) we are pleased to announce the launch of Title FAQ contributions on desktop. With a new redesigned look, you can now easily share your knowledge with other entertainment fans. This launch is part of our continuing efforts to enhance your experience, feature simplifications to improve usability, and identifying opportunities to bring consistency across our desktop / mobile platforms.

 With this launch, you can:

·        Add an FAQ with the Question and Answer

·        Add an FAQ with a Question only, if you want help getting an answer

·        Edit an FAQ with the Answer or an improved Answer

IMDb could set up Message Boards for Titles and Users could share their knowledge...

Reading the guidelines, it is a bit jarring that the first rule is "Do not add content that obviously fits other sections of IMDb," but the first example of a FAQ item is, "Is 'Blade Runner' based on a book?" This information is often included in the writer credits. Many other FAQ items are also about things that can be covered in other sections. The guidelines don't really help determine where you draw the line.

That particular FAQ item was probably there before the migration, though.
