Under "activity" and "ratings", is there a way to add a show to this list without having to actually give it a star rating, leave it blank?

I use my watchlist for what I want to watch in the future. After I've rated a movie, I can go to my ratings to see all the movies I've seen (rated). There's one problem though, I don't rate TV-shows. But I want them to be in the same list, so that the TV-shows I've watched also shows up. I could give the TV-shows a false rating and then it would be on that list, but I don't want to do that. So question is, is it possible to leave a blank rating, just so I can add the TV-shows I've watched together with my movies?

You can change the rating of any title at any time, so rating it now and rerating it later can be done. Otherwise you will have your rated list and your watch lists. 2 separate.

Hi gman9000,

If you prefer not to rate the TV shows you are watching but want to include a list for both film titles you've rated, as well as TV shows you haven't rated, I may recommend to create a list specifically for TV shows, and then to utilize our "Advanced Title Search" feature including both your ratings, as well as the list of TV shows you have created.

Taylor, my understanding of what you wrote is that there's an "or" feature in ATS, where you can request a list of titles that you've rated or you've got on list X. But that's not my understanding of how ATS works. If you tick off the "titles seen" box and select a list, it will show the titles on that list that have been rated, namely a subset of the list, not Ratings and the List combined.

gman9000,
This isn't really what you're asking for either, but you might find some value here:

When the title is on a list, and you view the list in Seen mode, an extra option appears on the rating pop-up to mark the title Seen without a rating value. Also true when using any of the other Seen modes described on that page.

Yeah.. no. I don't understand why imdb doesn't have a neutral/seen rating. imdb of all places doesn't have this. And it's not something I would even go so far to call a feature, it should be in here.

gman9000,
I don't understand your latest comment. IMDb DOES have a neutral Seen feature, you just have to invoke it as a separate way to view a list. That's what the page

describes and gives examples of.

If you want that without the Seen mode, then post that as an Idea here on GetSatisfaction. Make sure you specify that you want that non-rating to place the title on the Ratings list, and that queries through Advanced Title Search should include them when "Restrict to Titles I've Seen" is selected. (I just tested it, marking a title Seen, then running an ATS on that list, and it did NOT show up.)
