Hi!
I'm an actress from Germany and trying to add a new project, wich I need to get my first entry in IMDB.

Does IMDB support umlauts (a, o, u with two points on it)? The projects ran on festivals that I cannot find... Like 'Filmfest Düsseldorf' or 'Prädikat:wertvoll - Kurzfilmfestival Kufstein'.
And if the other projects have no offical website or facekookpage etc.? Do I have to enter a site?

Thanks, Franziska

IMDb does support vowels with umlauts and most other accented characters found in Western European languages. See http://www.imdb.com/updates/guide/iso for a table of the accented and special characters supported by IMDb -- you don't need to learn or even use the HTML codes there, but you can see that they exist.

You can list a film as having a release date in a festival even if the film festival has no other films listed in IMDb yet. (And, in fact, Filmfest Düsseldorf is already listed as a release attribute in IMDb for four titles.) Just list the festival name in the Release Date section, in the Attribute field, in parentheses. You will get a warning that the festival "is not one of the 25,578 [or so] existing attributes we have in this section. Did you mean one of these?" followed by a list of other possibilities. But you can select the choice at the end of the list that says "Add this as a new attribute."

When submitting a title, you will be expected to provide at least one of the following four types of information: official site, budget, distributor, or production company. Thus, if a film doesn't have an official website, there are three other possible kinds of information you can provide instead.

If you need more advice, please provide further details and someone will be able to help you.

I'm waiting for more detail information by the film-production and will try again tomorrow!
Thank you!
