Trying to update my child's height and it's not changing.

Hello!  My daughter is currently 11 and is still growing.  I attempted to change her height through the Performer Profile field, saved it, then refreshed the page and it continues to default to her original height.  Help!

Gina,

Please post the 18-digit reference number(s) so an IMDb representative can review the submissions and respond.

Hi there! when you update directly in your performer profile it doesn't provide a reference number. It does show her updated height when I go to edit it again. But when I close the box and refresh her IMDB page it doesn’t reflect the change. I can’t find how to submit it through the “submissions” page

Sorry about this. Unfortunately we store the height in two different places because it can be part of your performer profile on IMDbPro or it can be stored directly in the database so it is also available on the regular IMDb site.  Our long term aim is to simplify this.

In this case it appears your daughters height is stored directly in the database. If you visit https://contribute.imdb.com/updates?ref_=nm_cn_edt&edit=legacy%2Fname%2Fnm7965070%2F and in the "Biographical Information" section, choose "Correct / delete" from the menu next to "Height" and then press "Continue" this will bring up a form where you can change her height (which will not be instantaneous, sorry).  On the next page choose "Correct" from the menu next to her height then press "Check these updates" and on the next page, you can change the height, press "Check these updates" and then press "Submit these updates"

Let us know if you need more specific help here.

Col, I don't have a strong opinion on this matter, but perhaps you shouldn't want to list height for children because it changes every few months (or even more often), making it pretty hard for users to believe all the info IMDb has on children's height is correct and up to date.

An easier way may be a new idea.
The trivia section might be an alternative.
Those are readily accepted.
The same item could be edited easily as the child grows.
Just a crazy thought.

The trivia section might be an alternative.
I feel that if a person's height is added it should be in the height section and in that section alone. Otherwise, what's the point of having a specific section if you allow some items to be added to another section?
I personally think it would be best not to allow height information for children (anyone under 18).
