Hi, I'm trying to remember the name of a movie (or maybe two
movies). The plot is that of an adult apprentice (I think) chef who is very
good at tasting exactly what's in a dish. He joins a club of older chefs who
can all list the ingredients in a meal. The older chefs are astonished that he
can do this at such a young age. He is served an omelette by one of these older
chefs which is absolutely perfect, and he becomes obsessed with recreating this
omelette. He goes so far as to weigh each egg to make the perfect combination.
It may also contain a scene where he has a partner who is also a chef, but a very good one. He tries to make her favourite meal for her. She gives him a list of all the very expensive ingredients and he makes it. However she rejects the meal because he didn’t use a particular type of cheese. He says to her, ‘you can tell which type of cheese I used?’ And she replies, ‘I can tell which cheese you didn’t use.’
If there are separate movies, I would love to know what both of them are so I can watch them again!
Thanks for your help!
