Title change issue

Hello,
I have a couple of issues with my submission.

Issue 1:
I submitted a Title and Format change #200128-101917-552000
And instead it was only added as an AKA.

Explanation:
in 2014 i did a rudimentary concept film called (falafel cart) now titled (Arabat falafel) below:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3703722/?ref_=nm_flmg_dr_3

Then i did (Falafel Cart) Again, but this time with a bigger budget and made for cinema and a total different film but with a similar heart. title below:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9419864/?ref_=nm_flmg_dr_2

So at the time of the release of the second (falafel cart) i thought it was too confusing because people were not sure which film is which. so i submitted a title change for the first one to
(Arabat Falafel) which was an aka for the film and (an arabic translation of the title). Now i see it's better to keep the original 2014 title (falafel cart) but also add a description (Falafel Cart: Concept Short). I have seen many directors do this with their stepping stone films.

Issue 2:
In the same submission number above i submitted a deletion of the (directed by) remark next to the credit but it was declined.
I have not submitted this remark, and i thought that this section is usually empty in the directors credit.

I'm seeing it, so that means staff is seeing it too.
Have no clue why it is taking so long.
It is strange that an IMDb employee has not replied yet.....

Hello Ed, Is it possible to merge this post with the one you referenced?
To make things less confusing.

If the right Champion with administration rights sees it. They can merge it I believe.
Or an Employee
I cannot.

Evidence from the 2014 Cannes film festival catalogue showing the film's original title.

Another evidence in the article below:

And one more here:

The two shorts should look something like the following:
- Falafel Cart (2019) (short)
- Falafel Cart (2014) (Video Short)

Or what i am suggesting

- Falafel Cart (2019) (short)
- Falafel Cart: Concept Short (2014) (Video Short)

In any case “Arabat Falafel” is not the original on screen title based on all evidence provided.

I would really appreciate it if i can get a reply from an IMDB rep to look into the matter.

Thanks.

This display occurs when you see an alternative title (AKA) displayed as the main title. This happens when an alternative title matches your location or title settings.

You could try submitting a title correction again to Falafel Cart with a link to evidence in the explanation field. I think it would help if the explanation included a screenshot of the title from the film. You could also upload it here and include a link to this post in the explanation.

Hey Peter,

I see, so it basically changes based on country or location.
I will try submitting with a screen shot.

Thanks!

Yes, or when logged in based on the title display settings here:

Regarding your second issue, IMDb likes to record the exact wording from credits where possible, but if the wording is not correct as seen on screen then you can get it changed. Again, this may require a screenshot from the film.

But this is rarely implemented.
See below example from Spielberg's short film "Amblin". It clearly says in the film "directed by" but it's not mentioned in his IMDB credit. so i am not sure what are the criteria for this description.

I don't think it has always been preferred to include it, but it is allowed, at least.
