The episode "The Miracle of Christmas Part I / II" should be considered 2 episodes. The same way it was "The General / Chinatown". Season 2 should have 12 episodes and not 11. I find it incorrect to say that "The Miracle of Christmas Part I / II" is just an episode.

The final "episode" for Timeless was a 2-hour event, shown as one episode, not two.  There was only one set of opening credits, and one set of closing credits.  The 2-hr event was not broken into two parts.

Even the distributor shows it as one episode: https://www.nbc.com/timeless/episodes

However, the episode title on IMDb needs to be corrected.  It should be shown as "The Miracle of Christmas Part I/II"

It shows as "The Miracle of Christmas, Part I" on the IMDb web site, but within the contributions/submission system, it shows as "The Miracle of Christmas". This is probably why multiple attempts at a correction have failed.

the NBC also shows "The General / Chinatown" as a single episode and in imdb it appears as two

I think the most correct would be 12 episodes

Ron is correct, this should be listed as one episode in accordance with IMDb policies. I've now amended the episode title to the above.

Except for the fact that they have separate credits and the title alone should clue you in to the fact these are two separate episodes. I mean, if this were intended as a single episode, it would be entitled "The Miracle of Christmas Past" not "The Miracle of Christmas Past Part I/Part II". There are two separate and unique parts as indicated by the combined title that you consider a single episode.

So why do not they put "The General / Chinatown" as an episode just like on https://www.nbc.com/timeless/episodes ???

It is still wrong because if it is to do as NBC you have to merge episode 9 and 10.
that would look just like NBC and how it said it should be. because as this is neither one thing nor the other

IMDb displays information based on how the content was shown/broadcast. I don't personally recall how 'The General' and 'Chinatown' were broadcast, but if there were two sets of opening credits, or two sets of closing credits, then IMDb showing them separately would be correct.  How IMDb currently shows the cast credits suggest that there were two separate sets of credits aired.  But like I said, I don't recall the specifics myself.

so part1 and part2 should then also be separated (The Miracle christamas). and if they are together because at NBC they are like that then I think these two should be together too.

or you put everything apart or everything together and not two together and two others apart. It is not following any rules.

What NBC.com does or does not display is not relevant. What was broadcast on the first day that it aired is what counts for IMDb.

Rules are here: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/episode-guidelines/GDF7HR6CCCBKU3CP

Check the 5th bullet point (Episode parts) under "B".

The funny thing is that for The General / Chinatown episodes they used one rule and for The Miracle of Christmas Part I / II they used another rule.
