It was about this young girl who lived with her mother (stepmother?) in a big house. She meets this troupe of travelling performers, I think it was set sometime during the Vaudeville era. One of them is a young man and they fall in love. The group has this camera that they are travelling with, and they use to to film scenes on the land around the girl's house. One of the scenes they film is of her and the boy dancing. I also remember the mom being creepy and kind of possessive of her daughter, and upset that she is spending time with these performers because the mom used to perform. At the end of the movie, the group is all watching the finished film, and it is projected on a big screen. The last thing I remember is the girl's mom showing up and performing a monologue or something in front of the screen while it plays the video of the couple dancing. Somehow, a fire starts, and the film and screen are destroyed. The mom catches on fire while still performing, and is killed. I have been trying to find this movie for almost 10 years, and I would give up an assume it was a dream but my sister remembers it too.
