I worked on the feature film "Equals" as a Junior Set Designer and the credit has been added to the account of the Canadian politician Justin Trudeau, not my own. Please let me know how to change this.

Go to the page for the title. Click "edit page" and choose to make a correction in that category. Change the name to yours as it appears on the IMDb Name Page that lists your work, including any Roman numeral added by IMDb.

If you need step by step instruction, let us know.

I tried changing the name using the steps you outlined above. Before I made the edit I changed my profile name to Justin R Trudeau to distinguish myself from the Canadian overlord who is stealing my film credits. When I typed the new name in I was given a warning message because no record of me was found. Hopefully it still works, not sure how long these things take.

Thanks for your help.

No need to get snippy, just trying to figure out a simple way to fix this issue. You have to realize new users aren't used to IMDBd's circuitous UI.

As you suggested I'll wait a week and try making a change again to the name Justin Trudeau(2.)

Thanks for helping. I'll write back if I have any more issues.

Justin: When you correct your name, make sure to use the roman numeral as opposed to the standard digit, that is, Justin Trudeau (II).

Justin,

So, the Name Page in your name is at Justin R. Trudeau. It currently needs attention. If you have decided that, going forward, you'll go by Justin R., you'll leave the name but need to correct the existing credit to add the "attribute" to "(as Justin Trudeau)."

If not, and you'll continue to use the working name "Justin Trudeau," you'll need to edit the page and remove the "R." and add a Roman numeral (II), as gromit described above. If you need help with this step, let us know. It should be easily fixed.

Thanks for all the info. These are the steps I've taken since your posts:
I went back into the Equals IMDB page and edited my name so it gets changed to Justin Trudeau (II). Then I changed the name in my profile so it also reads "Justin Trudeau(II). I'm hoping this eliminates the Justin R. Trudeau that shows up on the search criteria now.

Thanks for all the help.

Ohh...well, the first step might botch things again. There's no reason for it. Changin the name on your page changes it on all the title pages your old name appears. What you've done is tell the system it's a different person than the one who has received the credit.

Hopefully that one won't get accepted.

We'll have to wait to see tbe result and apply any fixes needed.
