Tampering with my bio

I did not write the line in my bio about attending BYU. Someone at IMDb keeps adding it. I have submitted multiple requests to not tamper with my bio. I find it highly problematic that some unnamed person is making decisions about my bio and posting it publicly. I should be able to update and control my bio at will. Please advise. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2613269/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm

Any registered user may submit additions/corrections to virtually any part of the database. The Biography is intended to tell the person's life story, not just the parts they want published; think of it as an unauthorized bio. Because people want to control (aka spin) their story, the Bio is one of the last sections that IMDb would pass control of to the person involved.

Did you attend BYU? If you did  get a BA from Brigham Young University, then that line should definitely remain. If the person submitting that item has evidence (such as a yearbook or published graduation lists that name you) IMDb will not remove the factual data, and you will get a reputation as an unreliable contributor for deleting accurate date, which may make it harder fro you to get any changes accepted.

According to this press release Beachfire Pictures is associated with BYU. The person posting as beachfirepictures, may need to contact the company that published this press release to ask them to correct the press release.

There are at least a half dozen web pages beside IMDb that associate Beachfire Pictures with BYU. I suspect that it will be very difficult for the original poster to find and correct all of the web sites that make the connection.

Yea, it's on a LOT of sites, including the graduation lists hosted here:

Seems like public knowledge at this point.
