Suspicious information

Can someone on the staff check and see how much of the information on Pet Pals (1965) came from a reliable source? Someone just added "Animation" as a genre, and that's definitely wrong.

Is it even a series? In 2017 it was a TV movie: https://web.archive.org/web/20170210052522/http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4792308/

The plot outline is almost certainly wrong. The episodes are likely to be wrong, assuming this title should even have episodes. The three images associated with the episodes apparently come from a 2003 Italian cartoon series, also called Pet Pals, but definitely not from this 1965 British series (TV movie?). Even the one keyword might be wrong.

The one user review is wrong.

Please see this thread to find out why the information on this title is dubious.

Hi J. -

I took a look at this title and can confirm that some of the data added to this title was in confusion with another series title of the same name (likely the 2003 series you referenced).  I have removed the incorrect Genre, Plot Outline, and User Review.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with this title to know if it was a TV movie or a TV Series, though I can see that the title is listed with episodes for two seasons.  With that being said, it looks like there may be incorrect episodes listed that belong to the cartoon animated series.  It's possible that this may have originally been listed as a TV Movie, but in the confusion with the animated series of the same name, the page could have been hijacked to a TV Series.

I suspect that the latter is the case, but I am unable to locate an episode list for the animated series.  Before I initiate a clean-up, do you have any more details regarding either title?

I can't find an episode list for the 2003 cartoon series, but I found six episodes of the 1965 series on the BBC website, which has archived decades of its radio and television listings. The episodes do not have individual titles; but at least that confirms the title is a series, not a TV movie.

I can't guarantee it, but I would bet all of the episodes' TITLES on the 1965 series are false: either taken from the 2003 series or even completely invented from imagination.

However, the dates of the six season-one episodes listed on IMDb correspond with the dates on the BBC website, with one exception. IMDb lists two episodes dated May 21. This is incorrect. Episode 1.2 should be dated May 28.

I can't confirm that any of the season two episodes exist, but my guess is, they were added by one reliable contributor, but titled by a second, unreliable contributor.

So this is what I would do:

1. Remove all images from the episodes.
2. Remove all titles (but not the episodes themselves).
3. Remove all plot summaries.

If these three things came from an unreliable source, that should settle it.
