I think a more ordinary sounding title would fit the poll better, something like: Favorite Female Performance as an Athlete, or Best Female Athletes in Movies, etc.
This whole Girls Kick Butt, Women Kick Ass can work for roles as female warriors but even then, I'm not sure why we should insist on that, for me it sounds more like "you know what, girls kick ass, too... just like men!" , it sounds so "needy-to-make-a-point" but if the point was so obvious, one wouldn't need to claim it so loud.
And it doesn't even work because we're talking about sports. Sport isn't about "kicking butt", it's about going the distance, proving your value, beating the odds, fulfilling your dreams, overcoming your limitations etc. "butt-kicking" would be the last thing associated to sports... even for guys, so associating the expression to women is like providing a specific value of sports for them and not the most rewarding one.
I'm not giving a lecture or something, I just think we should get over that "women/girls kick ass" trend especially in sports since there've been female athletes for more than a century.

More seriously, I didn't say anything wrong, it's precisely because I already know women can "kick butt" in sports that there's no need to specify it... especially since there's a sort of "warrior" undertones behind that expression and it doesn't fit the nobility of sports. You can disagree of course, Jen, but you could at least tell me why.
I could end up agreeing with you after all, if you just throw a "agree to disagree" at me like this, i'll end up thinking that any disagreement is likely to get the same reactions...
Or maybe I'm just having another of these bad days and I should just agree to agree to disagree... and go to sleep. Tomorrow is another day...
