I have submitted this correction twice and no one has updated my account. It's really frustrating when all of other submissions made around the same time have been handled/updated within the time frame.

Please reference the first submission:

140627-170341-106000 2014-06-27 17:03:41 "The Amazing World of Gumball" (2011) {The Puppy (#3.5)} Cast -  1 credit corrected

And the resubmission:

140709-212221-851000 2014-07-09 21:22:21 "The Amazing World of Gumball" (2011) {The Puppy (#3.5)} Miscellaneous Corrections -  1 correction added

Simply re-submitting will usually net the same result.  Have you added any documentation that will allow them to more easily verify the submitted data?

If you have a screen capture of on screen credits to support this, you can upload it here on this board and staff can check the status of your submission and add the evidence to support it and forward to the page editor.

Also, if you'd like advice on how to better your chances of getting such a submission accepted the first go-'round, you could describe what you're doing or post the contents of your email receipt you received after sending in your most recent submission and the contributors who help out here can advise you.

Good luck!

Thank you for your prompt response but It's really a simple correction that does not require any screen shots or proof. The character name on a recurring role is incorrect, that's it. If IMDB would check the update requests that they have recently completely (as recent as 7/15) they could see that seven (7) out of the eight (8) episodes have the correct character name of 'Darwin Watterson.' My son does not want credit for a role (Gumball Watterson) on the series that he does not play.

But apparently I'm required to do all of the work, as this has been a recurring nightmare with this website, even though I've paid $100+ a year for God knows what, definitely not good customer service or support or timely resolve of issues...so here's a screen shot.

Katrina,
I've done update 140716-192127-959000 with a correct of your son's character name in that episode, along with a link to this thread...hopefully this will help.

Ah, I see. That certainly should be an easy one, indeed.

Re:

Yes, you or other site users/contributors.  The staff simply processes what we've submitted. They don't go out looking for credits and add/correct them.

Re:

I know that's a common feeling but, keep in mind, IMDb Pro does not offer any special services with regard to adding/correcting credits.  What you're paying for are the specific services covered, (photos, resume, access to industry information) but not for submitting credits.  That service is free and is what IMDb does.

I sent a submission (after doing some digging to find out who we're talking about) and the new ID is 140716-192538-203000. I described, in detail, what the problem is and made note that not only are two people credited for the same voice, but he's been credited on the other episodes as Darwin.  So, hopefully that will suffice.

Please note, just because you think a screen capture of the credits shouldn't be needed, that it's still the best evidence you could possibly give.  Not always is, "he's usually credited differently" an indication that he should always be credited that way.  A name right there on the screen is what IMDb primarily documents...so  It will always be the deciding factor and best evidence.

Good luck!
