Stop "COVID-19" Polls

I believe that we profited enough of this pandemic to make polls, it is becoming a bit repetitive.

I know that I started this with my poll "Epidemic Movies", but since then we have not stop to exploit this subject.

This is a list of every COVID-19 related polls.

Live Polls:

1- Favorite Pastime in Home
2- Coronavirus Has Ruined My Plans
3- Home Sweet Home
4- Movie Pictures Illustrating Confinement
5- Let's Stay Home
6- Epidemic Movies

 Poll Suggestions:

1- Coronamovies
2- Covid-19 Interupted Films Released by Alternative Means
3- Movies About Quarantine
4- Celebrities born in Hubei
5- What Do You Most Miss Doing Due to COVID-19?

There may be more, this what I found with a fast research

That is insane, I think that we must stop and concentrate on something else, this polls are mostly redundant and above all, they are obvious VOTES BAIT

This would be a good opportunity to revisit older movies since there are no trending releases to put to gain all the media attention.

This is also a criticism to myself, I regret that I was the first to exploit the mediatization around, and feel guilty for this vague of polls.

Keep your opinions where they belong. In a poll or in your head.
Maybe the world needs another Nolan Poll or What gum does the Joker like?
Stop all Polls while your at it.
And I suppose you make polls to get NO votes? ALL polls are VOTE BAIT
Your hearts in the right place.
But please. Dan and the gang will determine what is going live anyway.

You answer this because you feel that the hat fits you.

I'm not trying to prohibit COVID-19 polls, I'm trying to make the point that we are abusing this topic, I want that pollmakers (I'm including myself) understand that this topic is already covered.

I think that I was fair with this thread, I even criticized my own poll.

It is about time that we make an introduction and that we notice that we aren't better than the filmmakers that we pointed out on Pencho's poll.

Now, I wasn't targeting you specifically, now that you are trying to defend yourself, I know that you are "guilty".

Then, why do you think that we make polls.

My polls about:

Audrey Hepburn's Quote

Views of Gotham City

Kirk Douglas' life

I didn't make all those for votes and simply to cross that 100k barrier, I knew that this polls weren't gonna be popular, but nonetheless I did them

Because I'm a fan of Audrey Hepburn,

Because I love the work of the artists who redesign the magic aspect of Gotham for each movie or comic book.

Because I think that Kirk Douglas wasn't simply a great actor, he was also a great man.

On the other hand, I know when I'm trying to get votes, I'm making the distinction:

Most Anticipated Film of Fall 2019

Most Anticipated Bluray/DVD Release

I feel like these polls about "Anticipated Releases" are necessary, like the title says it, their purpose is to give information about new releases.

Now, we are to the 11th suggestion about COVID-19, IMDb is a website about films, TV etc. it is not a new channel.

Now, I won't leave my opinions in my head. I'm not making a specific post about my political opinions.

I'm making a post about my opinion of IMDb polls.

You share your opinion very often too, and don't complain, I even supported you several times.

Yes, at the end of the day, I'm not the one who decides which polls goes live.

But I'm still trying to make mind change.

Nope!
I'm not trying to prohibit COVID-19 polls
If it walks and quacks like a Duck.

I'm trying to make the point that we are abusing this topic, I want that pollmakers (I'm including myself) understand that this topic is already covered.
Your opinion. And part II ....Covered is another opinion.

It is about time that we make an introduction and that we notice that we aren't better than the filmmakers that we pointed out on Pencho's poll.
Not fair to talk about another person in a section he may not actually pay attention to.
Data Issues and Policy Discussions. It does not belong here, and should have been in the Polls section.

Now, I wasn't targeting you specifically, now that you are trying to defend yourself, I know that you are "guilty".
Not "guilty" of any thing. How dare you!

Now, we are to the 11th suggestion about COVID-19, IMDb is a website about films, TV etc. it is not a new channel.
All the cable news channels have been 24/7 ever since the outbreak.
100% of the poll suggestions have not been about Covid-19.
YOU have overreacted!

You share your opinion very often too, and don't complain, I even supported you several times.
I have opened a complaint TOPIC once or twice. But it was to complain about my feeling regarding ME, not about others doing what I deemed incorrect. I even opened a topic to admit that I was a sockpuppet of a suspended account that took me 3 months to repair and get re-instated, and then was persona non grata for another 6 months in polls, before I made a post about ME. But like I said I never made a post complaining like you just did here in the data issues section. You are just sooooo wrong here, it is unbelievable.

FINALLY,  All you want is one direct insults so you have evidence to get me ban.
That cannot be farther from the truth. I want you to learn about other cultures. Namely mine. I unlike others here, except maybe Stephen Atwood, will reply in plain direct un-PC thought. Direct. No sugar coating. Others run from danger. I stand up to it or run towards it. You are just getting the honest truth from me.

Look I've been wrong here on many occasions. I have been made to look bad. I learn from those errors. I try not to make them again. Please do the same. Your repetition is tiresome. As your so sure mine is.
Cheers

You are just getting the honest truth from me.

Your opinion is not the truth, it is an opinion.

You are not the only one to be politically incorrect:

I have claimed many times that I don't believe in more than 2 genders.
I have opposed many times when Rubbie claimed that titles were being sexist.
I have opposed to a dude claiming that some random youtube was being racist
I have opposed to verdict without trial
I have opposed to governmental measure toward COVID-19
I have opposed many times to "Unable to Verify"
Early on IMDb, I have "bashed" non-atheist

That doesn' mean that I'm always politically incorrect, it means that I'm telling what I believe, and I believe what I tell.

I have opened a complaint TOPIC once or twice. But it was to complain about my feeling regarding ME, not about others doing what I deemed incorrect.

Remember Ed, I complaining about how I feel guilty first for this wave of COVID-19 polls.

I beg to differ.
My poll about Hollywood releasing delayed titles to DVD and the Internet is informative and has trending titles.
Covid-19 Interupted Films Released by Alternative Means
Plus one of those titles in the poll is donating a percentage of the $$$$ to Covid-19 relief efforts.

Don’t feel to bad. I thought about doing one about diseases myself and I had did it without knowing yours or the others. But I had called it off ... for now ... bad taste.. It seams I had listed a few films you had missed. https://www.imdb.com/list/ls092969911...

But one of my poll suggestions is based on our discussion. “Baby Primer Movies” https://www.imdb.com/list/ls094665609/
Maybe you can used that to something positive since I view having babies is positive. But since many people are afraid of the commitment of having a baby brings, you don’t necessarily have to suggest a horror movie with babies to scare them.

I just did one that was a tie in to spring releases, and is solely based on the article sited that was posted today the 10th. So I did not want to add or delete any title that was not part of that article. So it will have no more nor no less than stated therein.

But Thanks though.

Unlike you.
WE ALL KNOW what we are discussing.
This should not have been in this category.

It never was moved Ed, you are hallucinating. If it was in data issue it is because I clicked it by accident, but as far as I know, you are hallucinating.

COVID-19 has become a serious issue worldwide. I would say let's not make fun of the issue. Be creative and be original. Sympathy for those who are suffering and respect to the doctor who are fighting for the cure.

Together we can and we will defeat this pandemic.
