Spam-like images

IMDb is spammed with entitle images consisting of semi-relevant titles printed on irrelevant photos. Some examples:
Annie Lennox: No More I Love You's (1995)
Baha Men: Who Let the Dogs Out? (2000)
Howard Jones: No One Is to Blame (1986)
Hurts: Stay (2010)
JoJo: Baby It's You (2004)
Justin Bieber: Somebody to Love (2010)
Mandy Moore: Have a Little Faith in Me (2003)
Mariah Carey: I Still Believe (1999)
The All-American Rejects: Swing, Swing (2003)
... more than hundred of them at this post moment.

When they are replaced with a relative entitle image, their Google-indexed thumbnails are active for the IMDb pages.

Looking at the least my first thought was "Well, album covers on music videos, probably", but that is indeed something else and a case of SPAM. And a very odd one, to boot: there's not identifying information on the image per se and the images are not attached to any other titles either making it much harder to detect and delete and yet also effectively eliminating any reason to post them. Odd.

Anyhow, in such cases images usually just get reported manually through the form seen in an attached image (accessible by pressing "Report This", then the appropriate reason), although I'm sure you know that already and sheer scale of the problem requires something else. Let's wait what staff will say, because that is really something odd.

It is also an odd thing to follow the spammer manually. You always need more time: to find, to report, to wait, to check... The best and the most effective way may be provided only by the staff: to check all the contributions of the same person(s).
If they need more info, they know my e-mail.

Hey MAthePA,

Thanks for your post and bringing this to our attention.

I've passed this onto the necessary team for further investigation.

As I see now, they've spammed not only the posters, but also plots/storylines, e.g.:

MAthePA: I see the problem. The plot outline for "Seal: This Could Be Heaven" says, "Sing This Could Be Heaven in the Style of "Seal". Stingray Karaoke Pop, 2000, English, Key C."

But "Seal: This Could Be Heaven" is supposed to be the actual music video performed by Seal for one of his songs. It's not just in his style; it's actually him. Someone who has made a karaoke video for the song should enter it as a separate entry, not insert the information into the entry for the original artist's video.

Here we go with an accidentally found new case of malfunction instead of intended automation. How do you like it: a doc on Michael Jackson's Thriller supplied with a mystery of Agatha Christie?

I'm candid in non-understanding this joke, but please don't invite Kojak -- he used to have no comprehension between cigarillos and lollipops ;)))

That is a different issue from your original post, MA. The image is from another episode of the series, and since it is tagged to the series it is also displayed on some other episodes. If you want to ask about it I suggest you start a new post.

Peter, I believe it's the same global issue that is common for stated in my initial post here as well as in Marco "series". If you wanna test, just try to delete the "series" tag for the poster as Marco tried thrice. There are some reasons why I don't explain this insanity on public in full details; I just prefer to keep them informed on the endless after-effects.
