Hello - I'm a producer on the feature film HOGTOWN. Someone started an IMDB page without the consent of myself or the director. The page is listed at this link:

We have all of our information in without a box and plan on creating our own page with all of the correct information. Are you able to please take this page down? We are in production now, and will be in post production next month. We will not be released until 2014, and it is important that the director and I manage this information for festival submissions and premieres. Thanks so much.

Hello. Is the information inaccurate? If so, it could be corrected.

Is it really that easy? We want everything automatically linked to our without a box because that's where we are holding all our info and what we are using for future festival submissions.

Well you don't need anyone's permission to start an entry on a film, however, you can get the linked up (or merged if WAB creates a separate entry). You can also claim some control over it via IMDB Pro.

Hi Rachel,
I'm facing the exact same problem as you. I feel an extra or bit player went and created this page and some of teh info is wrong. And I need to control what is out there on my film.
If you find a solution please let me know.
Thank you so much.

Shonali: If there is incorrect information on the page for your film, you can click "Edit page" and submit the appropriate corrections.

Unfortunately - just hitting Edit Page doesn't solve the problem. The problem is two fold 1) Somone created a page before the filmmaker was ready for it to be up on IMDB, and 2) it's an incredible amount of work to edit the page - hopefully merging with WAB helps solve the latter of those two issues. I never found a solution. Just edited the page manually.
