Someone changes my credit to the wrong department in an attempt to hide me

Someone has changed a credit of mine on the current no 1 Netflix film to the wrong department. Effectively hiding me from anyone looking for my role in the filmmakers but not alerting me to the fact as I still have the credit just in the wrong department. I feel this was done with malicious intent and a very deliberate act. Can I find out who did it? And stop it from happening again?

Because of policy, IMDb does not provide that information.

You can submit an update by adding the credit to the correct department and, in the same submission, delete the credit in the wrong department.

As far as preventing these changes, if the corrected submission is moved again to the wrong department, I would file a report through the IMDb Contact Us form.

https://help.imdb.com/contact

Include the 18-digit reference number of the submission to help assist the IMDb editors. You can also post the URL of this discussion in the form's explanation box.

I hope this helps. Please write back if you have any more questions.
