This is an example with the first episode https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0586406/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg#certification

Every episode is listed with these fake certifications including the main page.

Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out.

It's important to know that corrections to data on IMDb is submitted by everyday users just like yourself - once contributed, a member of the IMDb team reviews the update to make sure it's okay to publish. Please be aware that we're unable to submit requests on a user's behalf, apologies for the inconvenience.

However, we always welcome corrections to the database! If you're aware of inaccurate information, please let us know through the Edit page button which is listed at the bottom of every page on our website.

Thanks in advance for your help in keeping IMDb as accurate and up to date as possible, please don't hesitate to let us know if you experience any issues while contributing the update and either myself or one of the team can help you out.

Regards,

GENERAL HOSPITAL has over 14,000 episodes. Is there a shortcut to removing false information from all episodes of a series, or will someone have to submit 14,000+ deletions?

(Actually, it would be 112,000+ deletions. There are eight certificates per episode.)

Hi J.

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately there is no shortcut to be able to complete this action.

Thank you for your report and any submissions you make to help us correct this data.

Jaime,

The fact that such a shortcut doesn't exist seems to be something IMDb is responsible for. The fact that these fake certifications have been approved seems to be something IMDb is also responsible for. Therefore, I feel IMDb should fix this issue.

Marco.

Yes, you are absolutely correct in that IMDB should fix the issue. Expecting a user to delete that many entries is ridiculous.

If they are fake then how were they considered right to publish by the IMDb team? Shouldn't they then fix the mistake instead of expecting a contributor to delete that many entries?

Hi David,

Thanks for your patience whilst we investigated this. I can now confirm that the offending certificates have been removed from all episodes of General Hospital as well as the main series page, and we have taken action to stop them from being re-added.

Thanks
Jay
