Showtimes: Countries List

I just wanted to clear up some confusion I and others were having on availability of Showtimes in our countries.
Several threads here say IMDb gets its info from westworldmedia.com who offer 50 countries in their database.
While this is true it's not entirely accurate.

IMDb has 13 countries in its drop down list on Showtimes,so where are the other 37?

I emailed Brett West CEO of westworldmedia.com to ask.He told me IMDb decides which countries they have and they pay for these countries individually! It's not a package deal for all 50.
I don't know how much this data costs per country but I'll bet IMDb has crunched the numbers and if your country doesn't show up on the list its because it's not financially viable for IMDb to pay for it.
There's nothing wrong with this.IMDb is a business like any other.
I,like many others would love to see this service expand to my country. We'll see.
Hope this helps.

I noticed I *am* able to get local (in Colombia) theater showtimes when using the IMDB iOS app (it's using location services—I'm not entering a zip code). Colombia isn't listed on the IMDB website showtimes countries list. It's confusing that the data is available for the app but not the website.
