Separating two films that are currently sharing one page

I created an experimental short film called "Falafel Cart" in 2014 and the film was screened at three film festivals. Starting in 2017 i recreated the entire film in a narrative way and was completed this December. but instead of creating a new page for the 2019 remake, i just updated the previous page https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3703722/?ref_=nm_knf_i3. now i want to change that page to the 2019 remake (meaning remove release dates), then add a new title page for the 2014 version with those three release dates, previous images and past posters.

So in the end i would have.

2014 experimental version with three release dates.
2019 narrative remake not yet screened.

Any ideas how i would do this.

Thanks!

Just do it! :)
But I would keep the existing page by formating it back to the initial version, and create a new one for the longer and narrative version.
From my experience (for what it's worth...), IMDb should agree for this duplet: a lot of feature movies have had their project as earlier shorts.

Max,

Does the new version have a longer running time than the 2014 version?

Is the new version considered a feature film (over 45 minutes) or a Short (less than 45 minutes)?

There are projects which were originally shown under one title and re-edited and shown under a new title years later. On a case-by-case basis, there are some titles listed in the IMDb as separate pages while there are others listed as one title with additional information in the Alternate Titles section (a.k.a.).

In my opinion, I would submit the 2019 version as a new title. You can add a link to the 2014 version through the Movie Connections section in the new title submission.

After the submission has been reviewed and published, you can submit a request to move some of the images that refer to the 2019 version to the correct title.

I hope this helps. Please write back if you have any more questions.

Why is the same title listed twice on IMDb?

GMJ,

Thanks for the reply, It's actually not a version rather it's a totally new film remade on a bigger budget.
It's longer in duration but still under 45 min.

is it possible to submit a new 2014 page with previous film images and info? and keep the current page and only change the date? that would be easier than to move everything manually.

Max,

In this case, please wait for an official response from an IMDb representative.

Thanks for the additional information.

Hi Max -

Based on the information you provided, the titles should be listed as separate title listings on the site.  As Vincent suggested above, you will need to retain the initial title page with the first film and should submit the new film as a separate new title page on the site; you will also need to remove the incorrect information on the initial title page that belongs to the new title.

Let us know if you encounter any issues submitting these updates!

Hello Michelle,

Thanks for the reply, till now everything seems to be going well. I took GMJ and your advice, but there are a few things that were not removed or changed such as the runtime and some credits, then again it's only been 36 hrs or less since the submission.

Hello,

Is it possible to merge this post with the following post
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/title-change-issue

Since both are connected.

Thanks.
