Searching for British film Soulja Boy - NOT the rapper

It's a film set in the 60s in England. The trailer comes across as having a similar-up set to "Almost Famous", but a British version. I can't find any info on it or a link about it to save my life; not even in IMDB. I don't know any actors names. A teen boy is interested in the 60s music scene. He probably goes to clubs & whatnot & trying to find his place in all of this 60s music/world type stuff. I don't know if he's a rock journalist (or trying to be one), or what the main idea of the film is about as it's been so long since I saw anything on it. I'm in the US & this film was never shown here (to my knowledge) & I saw a trailer for it probably on youtube while waiting to see some other video. It looked cool & I loved the 60s music playing on the trailer for the film. I thought it was supposed to be a comedy, but maybe it's both comedy & drama. Whenever I search for the film, only the rapper comes up. There's sooo much info on him, but nothing about this film. When I first saw the trailer, I was waiting for more info on it & that was only about a link or two available at the time. Can anyone help???

There's a British film called SoulBoy:

Another film with a similar story is Northern Soul:

Ahhhh you saved me! Thanks! The first one, Soul Boy is it! I almost had the title right. No wonder I couldn't find it anywhere! :)  That second one looks pretty awesome, too. Thanks so much!

Kimberlee,

On top of Peter's proposals, where and in which country did you see the trailer? Was it on TV or in a cinema?
(Also beware that quite often, music heard in a trailer might be different from the ones in the actual film)

Hi there! I'm in the US & I saw on a youtube trailer here. I don't recall it being on tv. IA film from overseas has to be a really big film for us to even have in our theaters. It's a shame, too. I caught the trailer for Soul Boy on accident while watching some other video. The music caught my interest & it reminded me of Almost Famous & I liked that one. Thanks for your reply.
