Hi,

I'm looking for a film that I'm unable to find through the normal IMDB search function or a Google search, which I found weird as I thought it was a reasonably well known film. In my mind it's a fairly recent (US) drama film (2005+) about a African-American man looking to get away from his current environment and (black) friends. He seems unsuccesful trying to assimilate into (white) society and is left wandering. What I seem to remember is that the ending was fairly ambigious as we (the viewer) see him walking into the woods without any clear idea what's next.

Hope somebody can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Hi, CapeOfFear. What are the protagonist's origin environment friends like? Are they urban, suburban or country folk? Are they middle class or poorer? Are they polite, gangsterish or down-right mean? What about the "white" environment? Is it ivy league or more casual? Is it sincere or pretentious? Do you remember?

[edit]Well, I've just been able to find it! It's Welcome to Pine Hill by  Keith Miller. Few votes which made it hard to find. Thanks anyway for the help! [/edit]
