DMN: Most of the time when this happens, it's because the credit actually belongs to a different person with the same name. In that case, the credit should be assigned to the name with a different roman numeral at the end. If you can't figure out which of the people with your name the credit belongs to, submit a correction to change the name to have the next roman numeral not currently in use for that name.

If you provide your name and what credit it is, the contributors here will be able to provide more specific instructions.

Read your post and see if you can tell "What's wrong with this picture?"

(a hint: How would one know where the credit is among the many millions of pages of the site?)

Although this may not be entirely conclusive, I've found a secondary reference
(a festival page) where that cast member's name is listed as "Blake Nieman" --
without the middle name, and with the spelling "Nieman" (not "Niemann").

CORRECTION:
Sorry. I misread the spelling in the screenshot above.
I said it was Blake "Nieman" -- oops, my bad:  I see that it is "Neiman".
(Anyway, obviously it is not the same spelling as "Niemann".)

IMDb records primarily on-screen credits. To get this changed you will likely need strong evidence that the name as recorded on IMDb does not match the screen credit.

Basically this usually needs a screencap or vidcap of the actual credits.

So if the film hasn't been (legally) released online, this probably requires contacting the filmmaker to request a copy of the film or an image of the credits.

Perhaps the folks at the aforementioned film school (at whose festival the film was screened) might be able to forward an inquiry to the filmmaker.

DMN: Another contributor suggested to me that the film Dreamsellers appears to have been made by people associated with the NYC Filmmakers and Actors Meetup Group, which would imply that the Blake Niemann in the film is probably the Blake N. with a page at http://www.meetup.com/NYC-Filmmakers-and-Actors-Meetup-Group/members/28237972/. If so, you could try contacting him through Twitter (https://twitter.com/blakethomasN/) to see if he can help clear this up.

Hi, I’d like to move a my credit from a film that I was not in. The name of the film is called “Rebounds” (2012). Brandon A. Wright is credited correctly as playing the character Joe. I, on the other hand, have incorrectly been credited as playing Joe. In other words, there’s a double credit for the character Joe even though I was never in the film to begin with.
Please help me lose this credit.
Thank you.
