Refine Watchlist by Netflix Streaming Availability!

Why can't my Watchlist be refined by titles available on Netflix? This has to be the most popular streaming content source! My Watchlist says that I have hundreds of titles available to stream, but almost all of them are available only as paid rentals. I'd like to know what's available in the service for which I've already paid!

You should add a section on where you can watch any specific movie you researched on IMBD (I.e. on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime, etc.). This would help people to locate the movie quickly so they can watch it.

a option inside imdb that tells you what streaming services have the content you are currently looking at. what streaming services has this tv show  since they are all over the place. its possible this might even be something that might count as advertising for the service ie hulu netflix etc.

It would be really great, if when you searched a TV/Film on IMDB, it would show popular TV streaming service icons on the title pages, when they are available to watch on there. I certainly would be more likely to complete my Watch List, if I knew the titles were instantly available on my Netflix/Amazon subscriptions!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Better 'Where to Watch' feature.

I think the where to watch feature is due for an upgrade. Right now IMDb only shows when something is available on Amazon. But it needs to be more democratic, showing when a film/show is available on Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Filmstruck, Crackle, etc. Currently, I keep a watchlist then have to jump over to justwatch.com and look at it's availability. I would love it if IMDb just incorporated this ability. Please do.

It would be really helpful if the watchlist could also be filtered by what is currently available to stream on services such as Netflix or Hulu based on the country we are in.

If imdb partners with like netflix, hula and others we could click on the link find out all the informstion full cast and crew peoples comments . the sight could also show which streaming movie companies have your movie you want to watch. Think of any movie you want to watch whenever, because they were all linked together.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Create: Streaming list sorted by ratings.

If there was a sort-able list for streaming services using IMDB ratings, it would be one of your most utilized features! Rotten Tomatoes has a great system here: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/browse...
I just don't like/ trust their ratings like many people. The ability to select which streaming service(s) you prefer is also integral. This seems like a fairly simple list which would be heavily utilized by your users. Please create! I'd love to stop using Rotten Tomatoes!

You should be able to filter out movies not available on Apple TV or Netflix
Or alternatively search by Apple TV or Netflix availability

Please consider listing the places where one can see the TV series, e.g., on Netflix, Showtime, Sundance, BBC, etc. It would be so helpful.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled feature request: Stream it now.

I currently subscribe to 2 streaming services (hbo now and netflix).  if a given movie is currently on demand on a streaming service I have access to, I would like a imdb button to launch that service and start the title.

example:  netflix currently owns the series "Breaking Bad".  If I go to the imdb page for BB, there could be a button to start playing the show via my netflix app, or via netflix.com

shortcut:  dont use imdb to authenticate the streaming service, just point to the website or mobile app.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Viewing movies.

Hi.  I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your site, and the
invaluable help it has been to me over the years with movies, tv shows, actors
and actresses.  I really appreciate all the time and effort you guys put into
producing a truly spectacular website.
I have a proposal.  I do not like sites such as netflix, shomi, crave and the
like.  I do not appreciate being limited to viewing only what those sites
decide to carry on their site.  Also, as in the case of pay-per-view, if I have
already seen the movie at the theater, I often find that pay per view charges
as much if not more to see it again on tv, and again, have limited offerings.
I like finding off-beat, strange and hard to find movies and shows, especially
in the horror genre.  Since I have always been able to find the movie or show
listed in your database for any title I have found elsewhere in my researches,
I was wondering if you would consider adding a viewing side to your site.  I
would be more than happy to pay either a per download fee at a reasonable
price, or a yearly subscription fee.  I am sure, were you to poll your
subscribers, you would find many more just like me, who want to be able to find
and access all the movies and shows listed in your database.
I sincerely hope you will consider my proposal, because I think in a world now
full of people wishing to binge watch shows, get excited about finding hard to
attain movies, and just people who are general all around cinephiles, I am sure
that offering the chance to view every movie ever made would be your special
offering.

IMDB should include where one can watch/stream a movie or a series on their respective pages. For instance they could write on the page of "Shawshank Redemption" that the movie is available to stream on Netflix.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Imdb "Wishlist" for media providers:.

IMDb could have a feature "I wish I could view this title on:", and partner with leading media providers such as Netflix, iTunes, Cineplex, and others. Individuals could potentially link their accounts on IMDb with their account on provider of choice, forwarding requests of who wants to watch what. Basically, IMDb would partner with these other entities to help them identify their market. People would be notified of new releases that they are waiting to see, but also and perhaps just as important it would tell these providers exactly how many people are interested in which shows and movies from yesteryear, so as to improve their offerings in a retrospective manner as well.

This "Wishlist" could be available under each title in IMDB'S vast repository. Expanding "filme noir" offerings and classics, and sitcoms from days gone by.

I for one would love to binge watch "Battle of the Planets" sequentially on Netflix sometime. Gilligan's Island and the original Beverly Hillbillies would also be great. Off-the-beaten-path stuff like Linda Hamilton in the "Beauty and the Beast" series...

Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Netflix Availability Icon.

Hello, I know there are some threads on here about refining the list by Netflix availability and what not, but I am thinking that now more than ever an indicator of whether a movie is on Netflix or not would be very helpful. I am thinking it could just be a little icon or just "on Netflix now" right under the "watch on Amazon" line. This would be very helpful for a lot of people, I know I spend a lot of time going back and forth between the apps checking if each movie is on Netflix. Any feedback or comment on this would be much appreciated!

I think it would be an awesome addition to this website if you listed where you can access specific shows/movies (i.e. Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime, Rent on Amazon, etc.) As a subscriber to multiple entertainment mediums, I think this would give the value of the information provided on IMDB an even greater boost. This is one of my all time favorite apps/websites! I recommend to all my friends.

IMDb is wholly owned by Amazon, so it i not surprising that there are links to their primary business. I have always assumed that this ability to link was a significant factor in Amazon's decision to buy IMDb.

Roku, not IMDb, is seemingly the closest entity to accomplishing this task, I'm afraid. Google is also very close.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Play Button.

The IMDB is such a great app for browsing content, I'd love the ability to initiate an action from within the app. I'm specifically thinking of a play button to play the content on a remote media player.

To keep this feature as generic as possible, I was thinking either an XML file with the movie details is written to a user defined UNC path or an HTTP request again with the movie details is made to a user defined IP address. It can then be left up to the user to do the rest of the integration.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Streaming site optimization.

You guys should consider putting streaming locations on each movie and TV show. Then people wouldn't have to check each streaming site they're subscribed to see if it is on there. In the future, you could create an algorithm that combines every site that people are subscribed to and create recommendations based on that. Just a thought

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled ‘Ways to watch’ ones Watchlist should include Netflix and more.

It is annoying that IMDb refuses to include Netflix as an Watchlist option in ‘Ways to watch’. Sadly, its Amazon ownership prevents IMDb from being the ultimate app. What a shame that money rather than excellence dictates IMDb decisions.
Good options within ‘Ways to Watch’ could make IMDb very powerful and universal. For example, in England, users would love to see BBC iPlayer as another option in ‘Ways to watch’. Shame that IMDb does not seize the opportunity.
