Live Poll: Worst Misuse of Vivaldi's Four Seasons

Intro:

'The Four Seasons' of Antonio Vivaldi is one of the most brilliant works ever composed. The 12 parts are telling the year's change over the seasons by simply the music, played on classical instruments. It's success is clearly based on creative qualities and the great imagination of Vivaldi. But it got overused in many filming productions. Whenever something should appear the most magnificent, Vivaldi's milestone appears, too. Which movie do you think shows the most inflationary or even missfitting use of Vivaldi's work 'The four Seasons'?

Rules:

The suggestion should contain at least one of the 12 tracks of Antonio Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons' (opus 8) like in the example. Only feature movies, no documentaries or tv-series.

In need of remembering and describing the situations of some of the option's scenes. You may help.

I wonder, if I should change the title. Another option would be:
'The Inflationary use of Vivaldi's Four Seasons'
What do you think?

Breumaster,

I prefer your current title over your suggested revision. However, I recommend two changes:

1. "The" is unnecessary.
2. Correct the spelling of misuse.

Please consider changing the title from:
The Worst Missuse of Vivaldi's Four Seasons

To:
Worst Misuse of Vivaldi's Four Seasons

Hi Dan. Nice to meet you. I corrected it.
By the way, I shortened the intro a little to keep it short as can be.

I want to pick up a few more lines of the scene descriptions as depicted in the option's examples. I don't think it's really necessary, but it looks better and people might remember better when they are reminded on the exact scene.

Installing a new rule:
If you suggest a new movie, please check that it's rated more than 5.000 times.

I don't think inflationary means what you think it means. It's unnecessarily confusing because it's an economic term.

inflationary adjective

in·fla·tion·ary | \ in-ˈflā-shə-ˌner-ē  \

Definition of inflationary: of, characterized by, or productive of inflation
inflationary policies

Thank you Stephen. What adjective would be better?
What about too excessive?
Or overused?
Sorry, we use the word inflationär also in those cases.
But I understand, that it was used wrong by me in English.

I've cut it down to:
"Which movie do you think shows the worst use of Vivaldi's work 'The Four Seasons'?"
Better? :)

Good poll, Breu! (And good intro: your English has gotten to be so good that I always get jealous that I will never master another language like that, lol.) My vote probably goes to 'The Hangover,' although I haven't seen a few of these films about which I've heard terrible things about just this issue.

Oh, do you mean "Some scenes with Lex Luthor" instead of "Some scene with Lex Luthor?" (Under #3, 'Superman Returns")

Thank you. It seems like my keyboard is teasing me. If it repeats in shorter periods, I should check the batteries. ;) Corrected "scenes"

rubyfruit (P.S.):
I think Europeans have the fortune that English is all around us in G. We got so many anglicisms by the most music we hear, or movies we watch. The young people are building their own anglicisms, so sometimes I also learn from my kids. First they made old, now they keep me young. ;)
There are so many English words in our own language. Sometimes I think in future it will mix up finally. But we also use words that sound English but haven't the same meaning. We called mobiles "handys". Since "handys" turned to little computers, we call them smartphones. And at last we need English more and more at the job. The world turns more and more to English and Spain language. We had a French company working for us and they needed me to translate. I had the fortune to have learned and trained my English skills over the last year on IMDb and getsatisfaction. But please don't send me a bill. ;D ;D ;D

After all, Germans want their movies dubbed to German language. That issue will not crumble in a hundred years. ;) And I'm the same. :)

Thank you Peter, Thank you, guys. :)

I'm specially honored to have my 40th poll going online, because it's a poll about classical music, which I adore since my schooltime. Despite jazz, gangster rap, rock, oldies, Daft Punk, heavy metal, hard rock, swing, etc. I really love classical music. There are many masterpieces of classical music I adore. Sometimes they aren't even known a s big as the catchy tunes, they always use for music effects in movies.

I met a few people which helped me to find all I wanted about classical music. There are some real luminaries around when you reach out for them. And specially in classical music the artists are happy about everyone who shares the passion about high quality music. I met the highly acclaimed trumpeter Alison Balsom after concert for some words and an autograph and also the wonderful violinist Janine Jansen. These artists are like many people in Hollywood highly acclaimed professionals and play with passion.

So for me - as a resumé - I look at these movie overuse of classical music with a tear and a smile. With a tear, because of the overuse itself. With a smile because maybe some people fetch the line and beginn to become lovers of classical arts themself. When you learned to love it, there is so much stuff one can dive in.

Thank you, guys. :D
