Problem updating TV series credits

Hi there

I am completing the credits entry for "Sammy J & Randy in Ricketts Lane", which our company Sticky Pictures has just produced. I am trying to update the actor credit for the character "Randy" to simply 'Randy (XXI)' or 'Himself' - as per the actor's wishes, but so far have been unable to do so. I submitted a Correct/Delete form about 10 days ago, but the actor name 'Heath McIvor' is still visible in the credits listing. (Note he is entered as both Cast & Writer. Both these entries need to be updated to 'Randy (XXI)'.)
Please could you let me know how to make these changes.

Thanks
Felicity
(for Sticky Pictures)

Felicity: Heath already has a lot of credits listed under his full name. Are you trying to get his main IMDb name changed to "Randy (XXI)"? All his credits should be on one name page, even if he is using a pseudonym for this series.

Since I understand that Randy is a puppet character, I would not advise trying to change Heath's main IMDb name. Instead, I would recommend adding an attribute of (as Randy) to Heath's actor credits for this series, if you are trying to indicate that he is billed as Randy and not under his real name in this series.

Thanks for your reply. I just need to change his IMDb name for this particular series - so it appears as "Randy (XXI)" and not "Heath McIvor". All other credits (for other TV & film work) can remain as they are. He doesn't want his name appearing in the credits for this particular series.

All credits for a person must be on the one page in IMDb. One person, one page is IMDb's policy.

If you split his credits onto two pages, it is very likely that somebody else will merge the two pages, and possibly you will be flagged as an untrustworthy contributor which may make it more difficult to get future corrections approved.

The actor's  wishes have nothing to do with it. People often don't want to be associated with a previous project, but IMDb's stated aim is to have the most complete and accurate database of credits, which they cannot do if actors (or crew) can set their own rules.

Hey David, Heath McIvor here. What if I update Randy's exisiting IMDb's page to include all Randy credits currently listed under Heath McIvor?  ie - Randy has his own page and I am no longer listed as the 'actor' that plays that character. I understand it's against your policy to allow people to set their own rules, but I'm kindly requesting you make an exception in this case, as all credits will still be listed, searchable and technically correct.

Actually, it is possible that Randy might be eligible for his own page, since Kermit the Frog is listed as an actor. (I had not realized he was a puppet.) However, I am not staff, just a contributor, and I think staff would need the final say.

I seem to recall a recent discussion about crediting those who bring the character to life, but can't remember what, if anything, the conclusion was.
