Posted some pics for "Top Knot Detective".  They were declined because 'Badly Formatted'.  However, they were created the identical way as the thousands of other pics I've had approved.  What's the issue?

Could you post the pics.
I have submitted a few in my time and kind of have a rough idea of what they accept and reject.

I always delete the pics after I send them in to IMDb, so they're gone.

That link just has thumbnails, as your post does.  It doesn't have the originals, the originals were never posted by the IMDB moderator, so whatever the problem is, it still remains locked within the mind of that moderator.

If you deleted them and the editing staff asks you to resubmit..........?
What are you going to do?

Well, I've posted thousands of pics and they've never asked for a resubmit even one time, so I'm just playing the odds.

Hi softsofa -

I can see that all four image submissions you reported were not approved due to the poor image quality.  For details on our current guidelines (specifically concerning formatting and image quality, I would encourage you to review the following: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/images-videos/images-guidelines/G27LPBQZA7EAZGJW?ref_=hel...#

If you are able to obtain better quality copies of these images, please re-submit them and our editors will take another look.

Hi Michelle,

Long time, no hear.  As this film's description elucidates,  this flic is pseudo-documentary of a fictional character.  As such, it deliberately includes many low-quality images supposedly from home-movies, phones, etc.  This is exactly what the director intended.  There are no better images.

Hi softsofa -

Thanks for the additional information, if the low-quality is intentional (or in certain cases where the film was originally mastered in poor digital quality) we will make exceptions.  Looking at the title page now, I can see that these images have since been approved and are now displayed on the site: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110478/mediaindex?ref_=tt_pv_mi_sm

Sorry Michelle, those were mine that I used as an example. My Bad. I'll leave out the C-#'s next time so as to not cause confusion.

Sorry Softsofa.

Hi Michelle,

Hmmm...  That link is to Maverick, not Top Knot Detective which still hasn't posted my pics. Bio-docs usually have a few parts that are low-quality and mock-docs usually have even more.  You may want all your moderators to be apprised of that situation.

Hi softsofa -

Concerning the images you submitted for "Top Knot Detective", our editors were unable to verify that the images belonged to the title.  Can you confirm the source of these images?

Michelle, I looked at the photos on the title and I can see no low quality photo style referred to. It might be a good idea softsofa to provide a news article that refers to the intent of the director to use this type of photography for effect purposes also.
Photo example in good quality.

Hello Michelle,

I awoke laying in a bed of poppies as the Sun peeked above the horizon.

I pondered... what is my place in our existential matrix?  When does good become not good enough... and why?  Let us examine this quandary.

In one of my pics, Toshi Okuzaki appears next to a man in a "penis monster" costume. Note that the cast list for Top Knot Detective features a man playing a "penis monster".  Note that Toshi is dressed as a samurai sporting a 'top knot'. Note that Toshi acted in only three films:

The Chinaboy Show (TV Series) as Leader of the Sushi Gang

Paper Planes as a Japanese Official and

Top Knot Detective as a samurai with a samurai 'top knot'.

Which of these films is not like the others?

Maybe your editor has grokked that I've suddenly "gone rogue"... or perhaps he is merely resting comfortably within the same poppy field I lie in. In any case, I surrender to you and the editor.  I will no longer defend those four pics.
