The world of modern horror is rife with remakes. They have become so pervasive that practically no horror film is completely immune to becoming the subject of a remake effort. However, for any number of reasons, there may be times when optimism and intrigue accompanies the thought of a certain film being reinvented. Which of these hypothetical horror remakes would you be most interested in watching?

Interesting. There are many films I feel should be protected (somehow) from being remade within fifty years of the original time of production, so this is kind of challenging. How terrible are the films on the list? Being so, if that is the case, are they also cult classics?

Hi groovyvic (AKA victoconnor),
When a poll goes live, the title of the list is used for the poll.
The title of a thread should be of the form:
Poll Suggestion: {Poll Title}
The title of the list should be of the form:
{Poll Title}
Where: {Poll Title} is the title of the poll.
Please change the title of your list (https://www.imdb.com/list/ls024657503/) from:

I hear ya but the thing is they don't need us to give them ideas when they're gonna steal everyone else's regardless.
EXHIBIT A: Cabin Fever remake less than 15 years later, with no attempt to make it any less stupid (even keeping the part where the guy stole gum or something from the convenience store owned by terrifying people.......like why).
EXHIBIT B: Martyrs 7 years after the original.
EXHIBIT C: Inside 9 years after.
The point is they're gonna remake everything that exists without any statute of limitations regarding how long they should wait, or any attempt to alter the script at all. At this point I choose to accept it and I'll hesitantly support any remake that might actually provide a different experience than was possible under the circumstances the original was made, or that chooses a movie with an interesting premise that could've been executed better (or differently).
For example, Maniac (1980) is one of my favourite movies and the remake was only decent..but they tried to go deeper into his past mommy issues and his relationship with Anna, so I can't even be pissed that they made the movie.; At least they found a way they believed the original could be improved and went for it, rather than taking a popular movie and copying the script word-for-word because they know the fame of the original would advertise the movie for itself and be easy money. Are ya picking up what I am placing down?
