What a great match with Colombia and England, both deserved to advance. I would take any of them instead of Uruguay or Russia.

This tournament is unpredictable. The top three in the poll are out.

Only European teams left, unfortunately, but France and Belgium are worthy winners.

I don't mind to have only europeans, it has been deserved. Uruguay was inferior to France and they were never an attractive team to watch, Brazil gave a good match, but I can't stand Neymar spending all that time in the ground making it look as if his leg was broken, Mexico and others before us suffered a lot due to that and that's no fair way of winning.

We'll have a never before seen final, but will it be a new champion? Every 20 years since 1958 the cup has been won by a new team, only England and France may avoid that now.

This is great, and a hard choice, both Tintin and Asterix are lovely characters.

On the actual match and out of the four remaining teams I'll support Belgium, they have a Spanish coach (the land of my grandparents) and they are a new champion, I always like variety.

Wow, I don't think it was that one-sided after the first days. The site must be flooded with Tintin fanboys!

I think they’re just bots. There were a bunch of polls where the first option got lots of sudden votes.

Tintin totally looks like Kevin De Bruyne in that picture. :)

The Belgians are "the bravest", but Asterix has a magic potion. Too bad.

I would love to see a new champion this year. So, either CRO or BEL.

Denmark played both finalists and played a draw with both, so it might as well be us in the final.

I will hope for France because I find them more fun to watch on most days. Allez!

I guess, the Croats will do, they're really motivated. I'm on their side.

I'm hoping Croatia because I like variety and underdog stories, and also because France gave us the only 0-0 in the World Cup so I don't like that.

However I guess France will win, they have played great football and I suppose Croatia must be quite tired after three extra times. they will fight but lose, hope I'm wrong.

It was a logical win, France was consistent and most World Cups end with the logical winner, which is a good thing. Croatia played very well but they weren't efficient, and football is like life, it's not about the opportunities you make but the ones you take, they might have had more ball possession but France didn't need many to score. It was a great game and France deserved to win... sure they had their share of luck during this World Cup but even by being lucky they never 'stole' the victory and the opponent team had nothing to say about the defeat.

It was a sorry World Cup for Africa and South America and even Latin football proved to be severely lacking in terms of efficiency and rigor... Anyway, bravo la France and congrats to Deschamps!

It was an entertaining final match, and I was grateful for that. Often the last matches become quite boring as teams rather avoid mistakes than giving all they have, this was different and I would like it to be the rule.

France is a good champion, they were clearly the best teams in many of their matches, and they showed a good team in all their lines, and the talent to defeat all kind of opponets. However I don't like the faxt that the advantage they got in the final match was due to two dubious referee decissions, a free kick where there was no foul and a penalty that most would have not awarded.

Croatia should ended the first half winning, and then the second half would had been different.

However in the second half it was clear France was the best team, they could score more than they did and they totally controled a croatian side that keep the hunger but lost the dominion.

In general it was an entertaining World Cup, lets hope 2022 is like this one, it will probably be the last chance to see a good tournament before the absurd decission to have 48 participants probably ruins the World Cup in 2026.

There was no way the Croatians would have been spared that free-kick and that penalty shot in a final game, they wouldn't have let France get away with it if they were in their shoes.

Bad luck, just like Morocco, you dominate the game and a player scores against your goal, and then a hand... yes, the hand doesn't always earn you a penalty shot, was the ball really gonna hit the nets, was it deliberate, etc. But it's all in the context, with all that talk about the VAR technology, the French players asked for the penalty, the referee could have told them from the start "but the hand wouldn't necessarily grant you a penalty" but the referee clearly acted as if he needed to check if there was a "hand", so he had no other choice.

France had a lot of luck, but the first two goals were the indication, if ever needed, that the goals of football were with France from the start.

And Croatia dominated the beginning of the second half but missed it then five minutes changed the course of the game, knowing how to be effective is also a mark of talent. France had talent, luck and effectiveness, that's a winning combo no one can't beat.

I like that France has such a string of great players with personality, not just one star who is expected to be the leader. Some say they should be able to dominate more, but it is no sin to choose the tactics that you think will let you win.
