Stuck between Robert Mitchum or Ernest Borgnine.

Probably Robert Mitchum. I appreciate a lot of JFK did but I wouldn't say I enjoyed it, especially because, of course, I wasn't alive then. But if it were Bobby Kennedy, I'd say Bobby; of course, I wasn't alive then, either, but I could listen to videos of him speaking for hours. 'Love Robert Mitchum in films; it's so cool so many old films are still around.

" I appreciate a lot of JFK did but I wouldn't say I enjoyed it"

Which part?
*The controversial election of 1960, with disputed results, multiple recounts, and accusations of vote fraud in both Illinois and Texas? The 15 electors who refused to vote for Kennedy, even when the public voted for him?
*The installation of a secret taping system in the White House, so that Kennedy could record any conversations?
*The worsening of relations with the Soviet Union from 1961 forward, because Kennedy mistook a routine speech by Nikita Khrushchev to be a personal challenge for him? The failed Vienna summit (1961), where no actual agreement was reached?
*The announced massive increase of the defense budget, recruitment of further troops (Kennedy wanted to add 200,000 new recruits to the armed forces), and general military build-up in both the United States and the rest of the NATO countries?
*The building of the Berlin Wall, as the Soviet response to perceived NATO threats?
*The fiasco of the Bay of Pigs Invasion (1961), where most of the United States-supported invaders were killed, wounded, or captured by enemy forces? The payment of 53 million dollars to Fidel Castro's Cuba in order to secure the release of the prisoners?
*The Cuban Missile Crisis (1962), which almost resulted in a nuclear war?
*The assassination of Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo (1961), which seems to have been orchestrated by the CIA?
*The escalation of American involvement in the Vietnam War? "Kennedy increased the number of military advisors and special forces in the area, from 11,000 in 1962 to 16,000 by late 1963"
*The implicit American support for a coup in South Vietnam (1963), and for the assassinations of South Vietnamese dictator Ngo Dinh Diem and his younger brother Ngô Đình Nhu? (Kennedy claimed to have not known that the assassinations were part of the plot, though evidence seems to point to orchestration by the CIA).
*The first authorized sales of advanced weaponry from the United States to Israel (1963), which helped Israel become a potential nuclear power within the 1960s?
*The American support for a coup in Iraq (1963)? The Iraqi dictator Abd al-Karim Qasim was deposed and executed by the new and ambitious Ba'ath Party. Kennedy eagerly recognized the new regime and signed agreements about arms sales from the United States to Iraq,

"Bobby Kennedy"

Robert Francis "Bobby''' Kennedy was eight years younger than John, born in 1925. If still alive in 2017, he would be 92-years-old.
