Social networks, artificial intelligence, millennials, girl-power, LGBT, geopolitics... many 2010s movies encapsulate the turmoil of the tumultuous decade that its coming to its end, and perhaps the exhilarating state of being part of events of historical significance (in the long run).Other movies might deal with more trivial matters but while they're not as culturally significant, they're indicative of some trends that defined the film-making industry during the 2010s.

This is a list of movies which, for various reasons, can be considered representative of that decade, which one would say most (or best) defines it?

I think The Irishman is also a great nostalgic film event, it brings together film legends of the last half of the 20th century, I speak of Scorsese and Deniro that after being so long without working together this creates some emotion to see them once again and probably for the last time, also highlighting the presence of Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.

Interestingly, many films released at the end of a decade ended up defining them: Do The Right Thing (1989), Fight Club (1999),  Midnight Cowboy (1969).... but I gather that's not the kind of significance you've meant, you do make a valid point and I'm really hesitating... especially because the film hasn't been released yet.

You mean the Ashton Kutcher movie? No one seemed to care about that film.
