Well, the 2010's are over, and so are their movies. There's been many great ones we've had the pleasure of seeing - and many stinky ones! The IMDb Poll Board members have chosen their top 5 worst movies from the 2010's. You know, the ones that they think no human being should be ever subjected to again. Which picks do you agree with most?
Please tell me the five movies from the 2010's that made you cringe! Please steer away from the ones were so bad you loved them - I mean the ones that nobody should have to watch again. :)
Note: I humbly ask that this poll not go live until after Jan. 1st, 2020. There may be more stinkers ahead! That being said, you may change your picks anytime. Thank you!

Kick-Ass
Ghostbusters
Detective Pikachu
Un Homme à la Hauteur
Asterix and Obelix at the Olympic Games
They might not be the worst movies of the decade, but from what I've watched, they're the movies that got the lowest ratings. In fact, there's one movie here i didn't watch, the only movie I ever boycotted and I rated it a "1" for its premise, trailer and hypocrisy (and it's not Ghostbusters).

Great! Haven't seen MIB (probably should just because) but yes! Venom was so bad! Looks like you have pretty good taste. :)

NarniaisAwesome, I liked Venom (2018), but I won't expect anyone to like a cheesy b-movie that was somehow made in 2010's with a serious face (seriously: the movie is practically 1988's Brain Damage in disguise, I even made a video essay about that because fewer people seemed to notice) and succeeded the way I like oddities like that. :)

"Brain Damage in disguise" a perfect way to put it.
I actually liked Brain Damage.

Will have to see about BD; I love it when a new Hollywood movies sometimes take their ideas from other films. :)

Ardan Tüzünsoy, it's hard to surprise me with a weird movie because I've seen thousands of those at this point, but Brain Damage actually managed to do exactly that. Frank Henenlotter is rivaling David Lynch in terms of how unusual his way of thinking (and subsequently his directorial style) is.

I could never watch Birdemic (or most any terrible movies given the Rifftrax or MST3k treatment sans their respective commentaries). To me? To be able to watch them in their original form (sans commentaries)? That is defined as as a love-hate relationship.

Narnia,
Please change the title of the list from:
IMDb Poll Board Top 5 Worst Films of the 2010's
To:
IMDb Poll Board Top 5 Worst Films of the 2010s
2010's is possessive. 2010s refers to the decade.

Okay as much as I hate Divergent can you replace it with the far worse The Starving Games (2013). I didn't want to give this movie attention but it certainly belongs on here.

I stay away from titles like 50 Shades or anything with Johnny Depp in it, so I haven't seen them and cannot judge. But to me, the worst of the decade so far (and I admit I didn't actually finish this one either) is Holmes & Watson.

Ooh, yes, Holmes and Watson was awful - I only got about 8 minutes into it and quit, too. :) But it was more boring than actually painful, so it didn't make my list.
You are wise to avoid Johnny Depp. I've yet to see anything with him that was good.
Would you like to pick four more for the poll, or wait til closer to the end of the year?

Ed Wood (1994)
Donnie Brasco (1997)
The Ninth Gate (1999)
Blow (2001)

Depp is a fine actor, but if a movie is a "Johnny Depp movie" then it's bound to be terrible. (I mean movies that instead of giving us an interesting story, try hard to capitalize on the fact that the star is the ubercool, hypersexy, his superhuman highness Johnny Depp)
The best movie with Johnny Depp that I saw was Dead Man. He was perfect for the role.

He was also quite good in a few others as well, mostly pre-2000 roles. Ed Wood, like you said, was one of them.
Then he started to get full of himself, and it reflected in his roles. Today his roles with his real face may even be outnumbered by his roles behind masks or extreme makeup.
But perhaps I'm a little biased. I once saw him on Letterman and for years I haven't forgotten how full of himself he was. I almost expected him to start caressing his biceps and kissing himself, going "Mmmm yes, I'm Johnny Depp. Yesss, Depp, that's me, eat your heart out losers, this is the Depp-man here. Mmmm I'm oh so hot and amazing..." I just can't get over that interview. I hate people like that, so I started seeing that person even in his good performances.

I saw an episode of 21 Jump Street a while back and realized that was Johnny Depp... I was shocked! He looked so different - dare I say normal? - in a role without 50,0000000 gallons of makeup on his face and 3,000 feet of wig on his head! :D

I don't watch many new movies, unless they're very promising or unless I have to (I translate subtitles for a network) So I'll choose among ones I worked on, or somehow had to watch:
1- Holmes & Watson
2- Project X
3- Higher Power
4 - A Wrinkle in Time
5 - The Fast and The Fierce (okay, it's low budget and all, but you really need to see this one to experience how low a movie can sink)
and a couple of contenders
Jerusalem Countdown (it's doubtful if this should be considered a movie, or a scream for LET'S NUKE ANYONE WHO IS NOT AMERICAN OR CHRISTIAN !!!)
Selfie From Hell
Baywatch
Bro
A Million Ways to Die in the West

3- Higher Power

I only have a list of the films I like/love, and I don't rate films on IMDb (aside from the ones I gave 10/10, not because I want to bump their ratings, but only because I want to have a 'list' of my favorite films ever). What I want to say is, I try to forget films I consider bad, rather than feeding my hate for them, by remembering them. So, that means I certainly cannot remember the absolute five worst films of the decade - I've watched a lot of crap, and I've forgotten a lot of crap. What I can remember, however, are my top five disappointing films. They might not all be THAT bad, but the disappointment I felt was worse than the feeling you get after you watch a bad film, especially since I looked forward to these movies:
Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 years waiting for a new Star Wars film, and we get a remake of A New Hope, with some Empire and Jedi sprinkled throughout
Star Wars: The Last Jedi - instead of digging itself out of a hole Force Awakens created, it dug it deeper, and covered itself with dirt
The Hobbit Trilogy - (yes, I consider them a single movie, like I do LotR) - this trilogy didn't know where it's going, what it's doing, and what it wants to be
Terminator: Dark Fate - renaming characters doesn't mean you've written anything new (similar problem like with Force Awakens)
Avengers: Endgame - after a masterpiece that was Infinity War, and the fun that all previous 20 or so MCU films gave to me, this one was the first that felt like a FAN FILM - just an utter mess

Truly dishonorable mentions:
I haven't seen them but I've watched reviews to both of them. If I seen them? They would have been on my list. And to give some of these people here a sense of proper perspective regarding what makes for an objectively terrible movie and what makes for a movie you just don't like.
