Exclusively in Cafehouse Magazine. It's in the "Cafe of the Month" centerfold layout spread.

I translated The Anubis Gates by Tim Powers into my native language. It was incredible, every minute I was thinking "This scene would look incredible in a movie."

But no more. I still adore the novel, but the CGI-worshipping culture, Disney-type "let's play it safe, water it down" attitude, plus spineless producers who change everything according to polls or preview audiences, would ruin it beyond recognition. It would make an amazing film in the 1990's or even early 2000's, but today it would just become one of a thousand CGI-infested third rate stuff that you can't tell from one another.

That's exactly right.  I'm almost afraid for some of my favorite stories (mostly fantasy) to be on the big screen now, unless they're foreign, because I can just see how Hollywood (preferably Disney) could ruin it and make it less profound.

You forgot the greatest author of all time (According to me).

Marcel Proust:

Some movies have been made but not True one.

(I DONT WANT A DISSENSION HERE IF, HE IS NOT ELIGIBLE JUST SAY.)

The novel is the story of Proust's own life, told as an allegorical search for truth.
