My favorite here is Jack  Ryan : Shadow Recruit. I think that the concept has been renewed in a good way

Ed,

Have you verified that all of the films in this poll are the fifth in a series?
For instance:

Cars 3
(2017) is the third in a series.
Connections

Follows
Cars (2006)
Cars 2 (2011)

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) is the fourth in a series.
Connections

Follows
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)

The fifth in the series is
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

Dan,

#3 and 4 In the cars franchise are the two spin-off films Planes (2013) and Planes: Fire and Rescue (2014).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cars_(franchise)
Cars is a CGI-animated film series and Disney media franchise set in a world populated by anthropomorphic automobiles created by John Lasseter. The franchise began with the 2006 film of the same name, produced by Pixar and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film was followed by a sequel in 2011. A third film was released in 2017. The now defunct Disneytoon Studios produced the two spin-off films Planes (2013) and Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014).

Star Wars 9 Can Finally Finish The Prequel Trilogy Story. https://screenrant.com/star-wars-9-prequel-trilogy-story-finish/
This would make Episode 4 actually Episode 5, or episode 1, #5 or ????
Guesswork at best
And when it comes to Star Wars, the numbering system can be embraced or ignored. Debate rages on both sides of the discussion.
The numbering system and renaming may go through a complete overhaul. Again!

I can make notes on each of those to clarify.
Would that work?
Or is your way the only way you want it?
Tell me which way to go.
Thanks

Ed

Usually it would be considered good form not to knowingly repeat an idea that someone else has suggested, that is all.

Commenting on other people's polls is very helpful, but on the other hand not a requirement.

As I pointed out, he has 5000 suggestions. How could you possibly not duplicate one once in a while. If it was a viable completed poll I would have not duplicated it. But his was incomplete. Remember 5000 suggestions here. I could whip up a bunch of suggestions so as to "Lock in the idea" That's not fair to those that have a complete concept with 35 choices in mind. By the way, that is precisely what he does. Has no one noticed this?

Ed,

5000 is hyperbole. It's closer to 620.

Ed, it is good to be helpful and friendly but you don't need to be a "cheerleader". If by giving praise you mean pushing the "Like" button, we all have our ideas of how to use it. I, for instance, tend to reserve the Like for special occasions, i.e. someone was being very helpful, congratulated me, made an interesting point or a funny remark in a conversation. Giving out more likes does not improve your standing. Also, many of us probably don't have the time to read everything here, congratulate every achievement and like many posts. I find it better to focus on quality (what did they write?) than on quantity (how many praises did they give?).

Meaning of Life isn't much of a Part V, I mean the characters aren't the same, it's not even a fifth installment of a series with changeable actors... I say that because that's the movie I'd vote for but I don't think it fits the purpose of the poll to include, second choice would be Dirty Harry

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monty_Python_filmography#Films

I have added descriptions to all titles concerned.
Thanks everyone for pointing out the missing explanations that were needed.
Thanks ElMo, Dan, and Peter.

I don't understand how the Phantom Menace is the 5th of the saga, because that makes non-sense

1) You can simply sort them by episode number which makes
    1) Phantom Menace 2) Attack of the clones 3) Revenge of the sith 4) A New Hope
    5) Empire Strikes Back 6) Return of the Jedi 7) Force Awaken 8) Last Jedi 9) Rise of skywalker

2) You can sort them by release date
 1) A new Hoper 2) Empire Strikes Back 3) Return of the Jedi 4) Phantom Menace
  5) Attack of the clones 6) Revenge of the sith 7) Force awaken 8) Last Jedi 9) rise of skywalker

3) You can Include the Spin-Offs in chronological order.
1)Phantom Menace 2 Attack... (to the first one)

4) You can include Spin-off and sort them by release date.
    1) A New Hope 2) Empire Strikes Back (I won't bother to continue because very similar to the second one)

5) You can sort them by reverse chronological order.
    1) Rise of Skywalker 2) Last Jedi 3) Force Awakens 4) Return of the Jedi 5) Empire Strikes Back        6) A New Hope 7) Revenge of the sith 8) Attack of the Clones 9) Phantom Menace

6) You can sort them by reverse release date
1 Rise of Skywalker 2) Last Jedi 3) Force Awaken 4) Revenge of the Sith 5) Attack of the clones         6) Phantom Menace 7) Return of the Jedi 8) Empire Strikes Back 9) A New Hope

You include the Spin-Offs in the list 5 and 6 and it won't change a lot of things in the order.

There is some possibilities that I didn't bother to list here, but I'm asking you HOW IN THE WORLD "The Phantom Menace" is the fifth movie of the saga!!!!!!

BECAUSE STARWARS 9  IS NOT A PREQUEL!

This is down to 30 choices.
Anything that anybody complained about is out.
No suggestions.
Poll goes as is.
Or no goes.
