From your list, my pick is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Personally, this is my favorite of the Indiana Jones films. Harrison Ford was OK, but Sean Connery and Alison Doody gave highly memorable performances. Add references to the Crusades and the Holy Grail, and this was far more intriguing to me than most films from this era.

A lot of good options. I haven't seen all of them, but if I had to choose one it would be T2: Judgement Day. It elevated the franchise into a whole new dimension, and is still one of the best action movies ever made. Which tells you something about a movie that was made 26 years ago.

It's probably debatable whether to call it a sequel, but IMDb does list it as following A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More.

Good Bad Ugly is a thematic sequel to Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More. It's a perfectly acceptable inclusion.

I’m kind of surprised that dark knight is leading the race. It’s a pretty damn good sequel to a pretty okay original. Where as the original Godfather is a masterpiece, usually in the top three of any and every greatest movies of all time list. Yet lots of people consider The Godfather 2 to be even better than the original.

Saddened to see Back to the Future II omitted from the list as it is the best film ever to be produced.

It's one of my all time favorite trilogy but it's also full of many plot holes, in fact, the whole plot when you think about it is plain stupid, why not just warn Marty about the future instead of going till 2015? The film is dated now that 2015 is over and the bits with Marty Jr. and Marlene looking like Marty was too goofy even by comedic standards. I think the story really takes off after they go back to 1985.

I think to make the list, the sequel must be so good it can even be considered better than the original, so far, I never met someone who enjoyed Part II more than the original one.

On a side note, for how long has this poll been on the homepage? Has it broken a record?
