I love using your service but I can't deal with the white text on a black background. It really hurts my eyes and I can't look at it for more that 30 seconds or so. This made me stop using the app and only use your web-site. Now that your switching the web-site to that I doubt I'll be able to continue using it. I've read several other comments from people with this same issue. At least give an option to use black text on white.

Hi Robert,

Unfortunately, the "Light Background Color" option is not currently available on the IMDb app for Android.

To toggle the "Light Background Color" option on the IMDb app for iOS:

1. Select the Menu icon

2. Select the Settings icon

3. Scroll down to the "Light Background Color" option and toggle the switch

Please let us know if we can offer any further help.

The IMDb website continues to use black text on a white background. If every page has changed, you may need to check your local settings, in particular please see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-brow...

If you are only seeing white text on certain title pages, this might be related to advertising promotions on selected pages (for example: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4123430/ vs. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052357/).  In which case, the "reference view" setting may help here. Please see https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general as documented upon https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/site-preferences/GDL9NWJRKWRH5L6K
Contributors: Show reference view with full cast and crew -> This is an advanced, data-centric view built for our top contributors and is not recommended for general use, as it is deliberately missing many IMDb features.
