At my home PC, on all browsers, the front pages' News section (usually with 5 news items) is missing. When i switch to mobile site i can see the news. I presume it's not intended or front page redesign because i can still see news section on my work PC at the office.
Thanks for the feedback. This is part of an experiment to see if any customers notice if news is removed from the home page, so thank you for noticing. 50% of customers see the news and 50% do not, which explains the inconsistency between your different IMDb access points and then we look at visit frequency and other site engagement measures between the two customer sets.
Hey, thank you for your response Col, but consider this, there are basically two main reasons to visit IMDb as far as i can see, to look something up or to seek content. Many years back, there existed only one reason to visit IMDb, to look up creator's credits. But over time you added more reasons to visit the site like news, trailers and more recently original content like interviews and shows. I understand there is a page dedicated to news just like there are pages dedicated to actors, directors or trailers, but as i see it, the main page's purpose should be to highlight other pages on IMDb. Anyway, that are my two cents, thank you for making the site and keeping it stellar for all those years.
