My television documentary is not a Video, it's a television credit. How do I change it so it's listed under TV, and not Video?

I had a one-hour doc air a few times on a national broadcaster. Just because it was a one-off doesn't change the fact that it aired on TV - so it's not a video - but that's how and where it's listed. It wasn't before! How do I get this TV credit recognized for what it is - a TV credit? (Also, can't stand not being able to connect to someone at IMDb directly. Just sayin'.)

Tihemme: I assume you are referring to Our Home & Native Land: Canada's First Nations Heroines - Healers because that is the only title currently listed in your filmography as a direct-to-video release.

To correct the title to be a TV program instead of a video, go to the page for the title and click "Edit page".

On the next screen, on the Title Correction line (scroll all the way down to the fourth line from the end of the page), select "Add correction". Click "Continue".

On the next screen, enter the title exactly the same as its current format, including the year in parentheses, except ending with (TV) instead of (V). In other words:
Our Home & Native Land: Canada's First Nations Heroines - Healers (2009) (TV)

You will be asked to provide an explanation. You should say that this title was originally broadcast on television rather than being released first to home video. I recommend including in the explanation one or more URLs to help prove that this was a television program and was broadcast on television. Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, you will get a warning saying, "There is a mismatch between the title type of the old and new titles. Are you certain that you wanted to change the type of the title as well as its spelling? ..." That's what you want, so check the box marked "Warning understood, go ahead anyway." Click "Re-check these updates".

On the next screen, your data submission should appear with a green background and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".

(On a related note, I recommend that you also submit a Distributor for this title -- that is, the television network that originally broadcast the program -- and a Release Date -- the date of the program's television premiere. This title doesn't currently have either a Distributor or a Release Date and it should probably have both.)

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I will get on this revision right away. The only problem I anticipate is that the URLs I used to post this listing back in 2010 are no longer active, so even though it aired, the broadcaster no longer has those links available. Since IMDb already accepted those earlier URL links when I posted this project back in 2010 (as a TV project), is there any way around this step?

I recommend checking the Internet Archive (http://archive.org/web/) and see if you can find the old pages archived there.
