My film has the wrong year

My feature Senn was finished in January of 2014. An unfinished cut of the film existed in December of 2013, but the correct date next to the title should be 2014. I think imdb is confused because we submitted a rough cut of the film in 2013 to a film festival using withoutabox, but that festival took place in 2014...

I've tried everything to get it fixed. I've entered a screening date (Boston Sci-fi Film Festival, Feb 2014) a month ago but that didn't affect the date.

Hope someone can help, thanks!

Josh:

As documented on our site, the year in the title of a film is based on the date of the film's first public exhibition.

In this case, the film premiered on December 19th, 2013 at the SF IndieFest (where I believe it won a Best Local Feature audience award). This represent a valid public exhibition of the film for the purpose of determining the year of release; therefore, i'm afraid the year in the title can't be changed. If the film is screened at more events or festival in 2014 you are more than welcome to add those dates to the film's release date section.
