My Title is on IMDB but doesn't show up as an option in Awards Entry Form

Hi - I have a title called "The Visitors" (2014) that recently won an award and I am trying to add this via the IMDB Awards page. My film is already on IMDB here: yet it doesn't appear as an option when I try to add the award, giving me the message that the title "The Visitors" is not in our database. It then gives me the option of a lot of foreign language films that have "The Visitors" as their English language translation, but none of these are my film.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance...

Hey Phil,

IMDb distinguishes title types by their format, so "The Visitors" is not recognized as the same title as The Visitors (2014). If the title "The Visitors" (surrounded by quotes) had a date attached it would be recognized as a TV series. Without the date it isn't recognized as anything. If you enter the title as The Visitors (2014) (no quotes and followed by the title date in parentheses) the form should recognize your title.

The other option is to use IMDb's title constant for The Visitors (2014), in place of the title. This number tt4126016 can be found in the URL for the title page. It is a unique identifier for the title, and the forms will recognize it and substitute in the properly formatted title.

Hope this helps.
