My reviews that don't have spoilers are marked as having spoilers by IMDB. How I can I get this stopped?

Whenever I wrote a review that I believed to have a spoiler I always made sure it was marked as such. I wrote what I thought was a spoiler free review for the movie "Rust Creek" and it was up for several weeks before somebody obviously complained and the review was then marked as having spoilers. The only part of the review that could possibly be considered a spoiler was that I mentioned there were three bad guys. The way the movie is structured you believe there are two bad guys then about half way through find out that another character is in on the bad activity. Fair enough. I understand how someone could consider that a spoiler. My last review though for "Mia and The White Lion" was marked as having spoilers by IMDB as soon as it went up even though it is absolutely spoiler free. Why is this? Will that be the case for any review I write in the future? Because if it is I won't write any more.

Hi, Alan Fiske.

While you are thinking the reviews do not, perhaps they have spoilers according to the guidlines:

"While we appreciate your time and reviews, we respectfully request that you refrain from including the following in your review:

  • Profanity, obscenities, or spiteful remarks in either the body or header of your review.
  • Time-sensitive material (i.e. mentions of events, promotional tours, seminars, lectures, etc.).
  • Avoid unannounced spoilers [A spoiler is usually defined as a remark or piece of information which reveals important plot elements (for example the ending or a major plot twist), thus 'spoiling' a surprise and robbing the viewer of the suspense and enjoyment of the film]! Please don't reveal crucial plot elements, if you include spoilers without warning readers in advance, your review may be subject to removal. To label a spoiler make sure you check the 'contains spoilers' checkbox. Also, please never include spoilers in your review header as this is always visible.
  • Square brackets [ and ] are not allowed apart from when used to link names and titles
  • Phone numbers, mail addresses, URLs, email addresses, links to Twitter or Facebook pages etc.
  • Availability, price, or ordering/shipping information.
  • Advertising, promotions or solicitations of any kind
  • Writing in ALL-CAPS! Writing sentences in all-uppercase characters is considered "SHOUTING" and must be avoided.
  • Content in languages other than English
  • Do not include personal opinions on real life events or subject matter on which a film is based.
Any review in violation of these guidelines will not be posted or may be edited to conform to the guidelines."

The "Mia and the White Lion" review has nothing mentioned above that could possibly be viewed as a spoiler. While many reviews have right in the subject title that important message of the movie is that it's about cage hunting which in my mind is an obvious spoiler that isn't being caught by IMDB staff. This must be because I've had a complaint on one extremely minor spoiler. Please have somebody who's seen the movie re-review my review and repost it with out the spoiler warning that it doesn't deserve.

Hi Alan,

I've just taken a look at your account and re-enabled those deleted reviews, unmarking them as spoilers where appropriate.
