I'm wondering why Netflix only produced two seasons of Lucifer.  The fools on Fox and other TV networks continue to produce trash like Dancing with the Stars, America's Got Talent and Survivor but when an interesting idea comes out the networks can't seem to get it.  It (Lucifer) could have easily gone on for years.

Glenn,

Just want to let you know the GetSatisfaction IMDb site deals more with IMDb policy, submission and technical issues for users of the site. This is not necessarily a discussion board about movies and TV shows.

For what it's worth, perhaps you may want to ask representatives of Netflix on why they'll be producing just two seasons of Lucifer. I'm not sure if you'll receive a response but it wouldn't hurt.

In my opinion, when it comes to why some series are given the green light while others are canceled after a few years, it may have something to do with ratings. It may also have something to do with broadcast politics or the willingness of a network (free or cable) or a company like Netflix to contribute the funds to produce more episodes of any series, new or revival.
