more personal ratings integration

I would like to see my ratings better integrated into the site.  For example if I am on a person's page and I have rated things they have done it would be good to see that.  Perhaps if I hover the mouse over the title if it is not always there.  A more complicated request would be to see my average rating overall, or for a person or genre.  Do I like Westerns more than Comedies?  Do I like Tom Hanks movies more than Leonardo DiCaprio films?

Can't most of this now be done through someone's profile page?

I can, for example, see my average votes for each genre. Also when I look at someone's profile it shows me titles where our ratings have diverged, as well as things they've seen and liked which I might like.

Thanks for the tip.  I didn't know it would show me the average rating in a genre.  Should have clicked the show more button.  I saw the overall distribution and the ratings by year.  Given these other categories exist it seems more reasonable that the average rating by actor could be displayed too.

I don't know anything about the amount of programming work involved to do these things.  Putting the average rating for an actor on my profile page, or the ratings on an actor's page for every user of IMDB could be a difficult bit of work or very easy since I don't know how to write the code to do that.

Well I know it is there as in the first design of the profile page it was all visible, then they decided to save space by hiding it away.

IMDB's search and comparison pages only work on the name constant and doesn't take into account their role. So I suspect it'd be difficult to have a list of top 5 actor and/or directors on the profile page. It'd be interesting if they could though (and I'd love if the advanced search allows for you to to refine the person search by role). As you say, I don't know how much work it'd be - I suspect it might be a rather resource-intensive query. However, if they ever did roll it out for the search results (which would be the higher priority, as far as I'm concerned - I might rummage together a suggestion on that) then it'd show it'd be easy enough to deploy on the profiles.
