Hey there,

Ok I've followed the prompts on the questions page about merging accounts and I can't seem to link any of them together. This is my new imdb account

http://www.imdb.com/user/ur60155640/?ref_=nb_usr_prof_0

I was looking to merge the following into that account.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6286743/?ref_=fn_al_nm_6
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4713257/?ref_=fn_nm_nm_13
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6546885/?ref_=fn_nm_nm_17
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4300592/?ref_=fn_nm_nm_21
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3930419/?ref_=fn_nm_nm_23
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6216152/?ref_=fn_nm_nm_25

Can you please help me?

Thank you,

Daniel Hill

The first link you provide is a User Account. You'd log in to it to use features of the site. It cannot/should not be merged into anything. It cannot be merged with another User Account and certainly not to the other pages to which you provide links. Those are Name Pages, which is part of the database, controlled only by staff and which are provided to list credits, bio, trivia, etc.

The other links, those with "/name/nm#######" in them, are Name Pages and if they all have data referring to you, then yes, they should and can be merged together (how in the world did you end up with so many in the first place???).

Can you confirm that all credits on all of the pages belong to you?

Also, two of them indicate your name appeared as "Hills" in the credits. Is that how they appeared (as this needs to be documented, though they would appear on the page with a heading of "Hill" if that's how your page should refer to you.

Thanks for your insight :) See thats where I went wrong I didn't realise there were user accounts and the credits were a different beast. I can confirm the credits are all mine. I just signed up for IMDB pro. Will that make life easier for me? I need to also update information such as my representation. I'm guessing that whoever updated the imdb page wasn't aware I already had one (I must say I only just discovered I had so many myself) and just made a new one.

Pro won't change anything with regards to adding/editing data on the page. That process is the same whether it's a free user account or paid Pro account. Pro allows you to add photos, a resume and access to industry related areas of the site, not available to free user accounts. It also allows you to add your contact info and to make edits to or add new titles that are in Pre-production status.

So, on the pages for Dan Hills, did those credits appear on screen that way or was it a mistake when added to IMDb only? It slightly changes the way the correction is made.

Yeah the Hills ones were the most annoying as they're just outright typos but I can confirm 100% they are mine.

Typos when adding to IMDb or in the titles' on screen credits? There's a slightly different fix for one vs. the other.

Yep. Yeah, sometimes the linked account doesn't make it through but glad it did.

You're very welcome!
